I will start
Lassy
[name_u]Coco[/name_u] (only as a nn)
[name_f]Cinnamon[/name_f]
[name_f]Cookie[/name_f]
[name_m]Buddy[/name_m] (only as a nn)
A lot of "out there’’ mythological names as well.
Well, these are also human names, and I’m sure there are people out there that really rock them, but I can’t personally picture any of the following on a human:
[name_u]Rocco[/name_u]
[name_m]Rosco[/name_m]
[name_u]Duke[/name_u]
[name_f]Trixie[/name_f]
I’ll try to stick to “people names:”
Rex
[name_m]Buster[/name_m]
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]
[name_m]Odie[/name_m]
[name_m]Bodie[/name_m]
[name_u]Bowie[/name_u]
[name_f]Fifi[/name_f] / [name_f]Kiki[/name_f]
[name_f]Lulu[/name_f]
[name_u]Coco[/name_u]
Patch
I’m sure there are people that rock all of these, but I have a hard time seeing them as anything but pets.
Another little thing to add: A lot of pet names work as human nicknames, but not as real names.
Well my cat is called Tube so…
I know two (and have encountered more) human Cocos, who are ‘just’ [name_u]Coco[/name_u]. It definitely works on humans!
Well, I’ve had pets named:
Fritz
[name_m]Zeus[/name_m]
[name_f]Mimi[/name_f]
[name_f]Trudi[/name_f]
[name_u]Floris[/name_u]
Da [name_m]Vinci[/name_m]
Floris could work on a human, not so sure about the others
That’s interesting! I only know one [name_u]Coco[/name_u] who uses it as a nn, and where I live at least, every other dog is called [name_u]Coco[/name_u].
Our cat is named [name_f]Kitty[/name_f]… as a nickname for [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] maybe
[name_f]My[/name_f] guppies were [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_u]Gill[/name_u]… I guess that could actually work too ([name_m]Gil[/name_m] could be short for [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m])
Other pet was [name_f]Misty[/name_f]
Why is your cat called Tube?! I’m dying of laughter.
I know people with all of those names! I actually know a couple of little Roccos, in fact.
Our cats were named Poofer (née [name_u]Domino[/name_u], but she became Pussy [name_f]Cat[/name_f] > Poofy [name_f]Cat[/name_f] > Poofer and that became her official name for 15+ years) and Popsicle “Popsy”. I think those definitely qualify!!
