Names that are not so popular anymore

Im looking for girl names that used to be common, but aren’t so much anymore (like [name_f]Rachel[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], etc.) Also, I have a list of names that I am looking for opinions on/looking for similar names to these:

Note: Middle name will definitely be [name_f]Dianne[/name_f]

[name_f]Launa[/name_f]
[name_f]Rachel[/name_f]
[name_f]Kenna[/name_f]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u]
[name_u]Austen[/name_u]
Lenae

I would list the following as “Popular yesterday” names…

[name_f]Lauren[/name_f]
[name_f]Kathleen[/name_f]
[name_f]Nancy[/name_f]
[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f]

There are so many more, but these are my favorite and ones I have personally considered for our DD.

As for the other names you mentioned…

[name_f]Launa[/name_f] - [name_f]Lana[/name_f] is more Hollywood glam

[name_f]Rachel[/name_f] - like [name_f]Kristen[/name_f], [name_u]Julie[/name_u], and [name_f]Heather[/name_f], [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] is still too much a 90s name, but give it 20-30 years and they’ll all be hot again

[name_f]Kenna[/name_f] - Eh, sounds incomplete

[name_u]Avery[/name_u] - sleek, classic enough that you can forgive its current popularity

[name_u]Austen[/name_u] - [name_m]Austin[/name_m] is a great boy name, [name_u]Austen[/name_u] is screaming [name_f]Jane[/name_f]; as wonderful as she was, it doesn’t quite work

Lenae - I struggle to imagine a little girl with this name but it could be beautiful on the right girl, I can picture a very sophiaticated woman named [name_f]Lanae[/name_f]

Maybe you would like…

[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
[name_u]Shannon[/name_u]

[name_f]Bethany[/name_f]
[name_f]Jillian[/name_f]

[name_f]Laura[/name_f]
[name_u]Robin[/name_u]
[name_f]Candace[/name_f]
[name_f]Cadence[/name_f]

My favourite from your list is [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]. And I agree with the pp, [name_f]Lana[/name_f] looks and sounds prettier than [name_f]Launa[/name_f].

[name_u]Avery[/name_u] doesn’t really seem to fit your criteria, as cute as it is. [name_u]Avery[/name_u] is currently very popular at #16.

While I don’t disagree that [name_f]Lana[/name_f] is a beautiful and great name choice, I have a friend by this name who always makes jokes along the lines of “I was in for a big surprise at age 12 when I learnt that spelling my name backwards wasn’t just a fun doodle on my class notes” … not a deal breaker! [name_m]Just[/name_m] something mom and dad might want to know hahaha

I love [name_f]Kenna[/name_f]. Lenae is nice, but you might like [name_f]Linnea[/name_f] or [name_f]Renae[/name_f] / [name_f]Renee[/name_f], or Desirée / [name_f]Desirae[/name_f].
I like [name_u]Austen[/name_u] too.
You may also like [name_f]Shauna[/name_f], [name_f]Keri[/name_f] / [name_f]Kerri[/name_f], [name_f]Raquel[/name_f], [name_f]Alicia[/name_f], [name_f]Michaela[/name_f], [name_f]Katharine[/name_f], [name_f]Audra[/name_f], [name_u]Nichole[/name_u],
[name_f]Rebekah[/name_f], [name_f]Laura[/name_f], [name_u]Laurie[/name_u], [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], [name_f]Valerie[/name_f], [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_u]Haley[/name_u], [name_u]Whitney[/name_u], and [name_u]Ashley[/name_u].

[name_f]Kenna[/name_f] - not a fan but I really love [name_f]Mckenna[/name_f]
[name_u]Avery[/name_u] - too popular I’ve never liked this one
[name_u]Austen[/name_u] - I like [name_m]Austin[/name_m] for a boy and I like [name_u]Austen[/name_u] fot a girl

I really like [name_f]Kenna[/name_f].

Suggestions:

[name_f]Paige[/name_f]
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_f]Heather[/name_f]
[name_f]Jenna[/name_f]

I have [name_f]Annette[/name_f] & [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] on my list, and I love them both. They don’t get great feedback on nameberry because they’re sooooooo dated… insert eye-roll here … but I don’t mind that. It means they’ll probably be the only one in their class

Ooh I like this type of list

[name_u]Ashley[/name_u] (still popular but I feel like it’s not quite as popular as it was back in the 90’s/early 2000’s)

[name_f]Amanda[/name_f]

[name_f]Lauren[/name_f]

[name_f]Holly[/name_f]

[name_f]Amy[/name_f]

[name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f]

[name_f]Breeanna[/name_f]

[name_u]Brooke[/name_u]

[name_f]Alison[/name_f]

[name_f]Brittany[/name_f]

[name_f]Erin[/name_f]

[name_f]Hayley[/name_f]

[name_f]Kirsten[/name_f]

[name_u]Stacey[/name_u]

[name_f]Sharon[/name_f]

[name_f]Caitlyn[/name_f]

[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]

[name_f]Launa[/name_f]: Would have no idea how to pronounce it haha but it looks very pretty. And I like most ‘L’ names for girls.

[name_f]Rachel[/name_f]: [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]. Is always on my list but my husband thinks it’s outdated/still used too much. I think it’s a classic, beautiful old Biblical name.

[name_f]Kenna[/name_f]: Kind of sounds like one of [name_f]Barbie[/name_f]'s less popular sisters. And reminds me of [name_f]McKenna[/name_f], which I don’t love.

[name_u]Avery[/name_u]: I like [name_u]Avery[/name_u], even though it reminds me of birds. But it does have that nice modern/spunky feel like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] or [name_f]Elora[/name_f].

[name_u]Austen[/name_u]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Austen[/name_u], reminds me of [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u] whom I adore. It’s a really fresh girls name, love it.

Lenae: Sounds a teensy bit too 70’s for me, but again I am attracted to ‘L’ names.

I like [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Betty[/name_f], and [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] for you.
