Names that go with surname?

Sauve is pronounced “so-VAY” so I was wondering what baby girl names sound well with this surname?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] names that rhyme with it (like [name_f]Monet[/name_f] Sauve or [name_m]Dante[/name_m] Sauve) sounds alright?

What are your thoughts on alliteration? (ex. [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] Sauve?)

It’s really personal preference! I think with rhyming it ends up sounding a bit like a superhero or book character, for any surname not just yours. I would personally avoid rhyming first and last names but it’s really up to you. I think alliteration in general is fine and can be quite nice, although [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] might be a little too similar sounding with not just first letter alliteration but the whole first syllable being the same, e.g. SO-fia SO-vay is too similar but [name_f]Serena[/name_f] Sauve sounds better.

What a great surname!

I think alliteration can work really well in the right combo. [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] Sauve sounds sparky and memorable to me, I like it a lot.

Rhyming names like [name_f]Monet[/name_f] and [name_m]Dante[/name_m] don’t work so well to my ear. It sounds a bit gimmicky to me. [name_m]Dante[/name_m] is better because the stress falls in a different place, so I think that one is doable, but I wouldn’t use [name_f]Monet[/name_f] with your surname.

I agree with previous posters, not a fan of rhyming but I like the alliterative names a lot. [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] Sauve is beautiful!

[name_f]Serena[/name_f] Sauve
[name_f]Sofia[/name_f] Sauve
[name_f]Selina[/name_f] Sauve
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] Sauve

Are you planning to do a middle name? If you are, I would not choose another S name as S.S.S. would be too much.

Another option is to choose a first name with more syllables, since your last name only has two. From your signature I would choose:

Alessandra Sauve
Francesca Sauve
Madeleine Sauve
Victoria Sauve

I also like:
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] Sauve
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] Sauve
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] Sauve
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] Sauve
[name_f]Valerie[/name_f] Sauve

I agree… Alliteration is nice (but still depends on the name) and rhyming does not sound so nice.

Some suggestions:

[name_f]Luna[/name_f] Suave
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] Suave
[name_f]Tullia[/name_f] Suave
[name_f]Daria[/name_f] Suave
