my hubby and I are having trouble finding names for our soon to be son because our last name is [name_m]Scott[/name_m] and i dont think any of the names we liked work if there are any middle names that would fit with the first names and our last name to make it sound good that would be great if not just any boys names that would go with [name_m]Scott[/name_m]
The names we like are [name_u]Dean[/name_u], [name_m]Castiel[/name_m], [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] and [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] (I know we really like Supernatural)
I think with such a short surname, you need to go with at least two syllables, and something that doesnt end in S, or it could sound hissy. [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] is nice, but here are my suggestions;
[name_m]Harry[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_u]Theo[/name_u]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m]
[name_m]Daniel[/name_m]
[name_m]Adam[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
I agree with islandmoon, names ending with -s could run into [name_m]Scott[/name_m], and make the whole name sound, as she put it, “hissy”.
I think [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] works. [name_u]Dean[/name_u] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] works too, in my opinion.
Maybe you would also like…
[name_m]Ewan[/name_m]
[name_m]Asher[/name_m]
[name_m]Declan[/name_m]
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m]
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u]
[name_u]Owen[/name_u]
[name_m]Zachary[/name_m]
[name_m]Nathan[/name_m]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m]
[name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
I really like [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Scott[/name_m]. Sticking with a longer syllable name works best. Here are some suggestions, sorry for any repeats!
My cousin’s name is [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] ([name_m]Scott[/name_m] is his MN). I think it is a good, strong name. [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] is a good fit too!
Also,
I have no idea why but before I saw you needed boys names and when I saw the last name [name_m]Scott[/name_m], the first thing that came to mind was the little girl’s name [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_m]Scott[/name_m].
