I am 5 weeks from due date and I’m still narrowing down names. Hubby and I got engaged and married on the 4th of [name_f]July[/name_f] so its a big day for us, which got me thinking maybe I could find a name that is related to the [name_f]Holiday[/name_f]?
Our last name is [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
The only thing I’ve come up with are
[name_f]Liberty[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u]
Hanabi [name_u]Bell[/name_u] (japanese word for firework)
I don’t like [name_u]Justice[/name_u] - Anything that makes you think 4th of [name_f]July[/name_f], or fireworks, just throw it out! I’m gettin desperate to fall in love with a name here
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] - first thing I think of is the letter [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Adams[/name_m] wrote to his wife, [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_u]Macey[/name_u] - [name_f]Macy[/name_f]'s parade
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] [name_m]Ross[/name_m]
[name_f]Victorie[/name_f]/[name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Jubilee[/name_f]
[name_f]Martha[/name_f] - Wasington
[name_f]Deborah[/name_f] - [name_m]Sampson[/name_m]
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u] - [name_m]Randolph[/name_m]
[name_f]Holiday[/name_f] nn [name_f]Holly[/name_f]
I’m sorry, but [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] [name_u]Bell[/name_u] seems too wordy to me, but Hanabi sounds interesting. Seeing it on paper, though, I don’t know how it should be pronounced.
If I were you, I’d aim for just old-school [name_f]Americana[/name_f] type names. This is the kinda thing that comes to mind;
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Savannah[/name_f], [name_u]Memphis[/name_u]
[name_f]Louise[/name_f]/[name_f]Lulu[/name_f]
[name_f]Betsy[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_u]Aspen[/name_u]
[name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f]
[name_f]Alma[/name_f]
[name_u]Kit[/name_u]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucille[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Winona[/name_f]
[name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Temperance[/name_f], [name_f]Mercy[/name_f], [name_f]Constance[/name_f], [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] - usable but ultra-Puritan ideas
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_f]Virginia[/name_f], [name_u]Indiana[/name_u], [name_u]Dakota[/name_u], [name_f]Carolina[/name_f], [name_f]Louisiana[/name_f]
[name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]
[name_u]Scout[/name_u]
[name_f]Ada[/name_f]
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f]
[name_f]Delta[/name_f]
Maybe something ‘red’? [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Garnet[/name_f], [name_f]Crimson[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]? Or ‘blue’; [name_f]Azure[/name_f], [name_u]Sky[/name_u], [name_f]Indigo[/name_f], [name_f]Meena[/name_f], [name_u]Cobalt[/name_u]? Or ‘white’; [name_f]Bianca[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalba[/name_f], [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], [name_f]Bronwen[/name_f].
Something to do with stars? [name_f]Estelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Estella[/name_f], [name_f]Celeste[/name_f], [name_f]Asta[/name_f], [name_u]Seren[/name_u], [name_f]Vespera[/name_f], Hesper.
[name_f]Liberty[/name_f] is great! Although for some reason I remember that the little girl in [name_f]Juno[/name_f] is called [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]!
[name_f]July[/name_f] itself is pretty, I’m not american so I don’t really know what names are "4th of [name_f]July[/name_f]"ish names that Ames me think of fireworks:
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] (means heavenly, makes me think of night sky hence fireworks)
[name_f]Fiammetta[/name_f] (means fiery little one, I think it’s a bit of a mouthful though very cute and full of nickname opportunities)
[name_f]Circe[/name_f] (meaning is connected to magic and I’ve always thought fireworks were pretty magical)
[name_f]Delta[/name_f] (meaning is connected to four)
Larkspur/[name_f]Lark[/name_f] (larkspur is the flower of the month of [name_f]July[/name_f], the shortened lark is also a bird and birds generally symbolise freedom which from what I understand is a big part of the 4th of [name_f]July[/name_f] celebrations)
[name_f]Delphi[/name_f] ( another word for larkspur is delphinium so the shortened [name_f]Delphi[/name_f] could be a cute name)
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] (birthstone of [name_f]July[/name_f])
[name_f]Holiday[/name_f] nn Holi (a massive guilty pleasure of mine, I love it and wish if I ever had a child I would have the guts to use it and since you have a connection with the 4th of [name_f]July[/name_f] holiday I thought it could work)
That’s all I can think of and I know some of them are a bit out there but I’d never heard of
Hanabi before so I thought you might like them
Not American myself, but what about [name_f]Tindra[/name_f], which happens to mean ‘to twinkle/sparkle’ (Nordic) - quite a suitable meaning in regard to fireworks I think. You could even call her [name_f]Indie[/name_f], which would double the meaning due to it being Independence [name_u]Day[/name_u] and all.
[name_u]America[/name_u]
[name_f]July[/name_f]
[name_f]Star[/name_f]
[name_f]Holiday[/name_f]
Independence (that’s a long shot! You can call her [name_f]Indie[/name_f]! )
