Full disclosure, this is a name for a puppy. I am getting a 6 month old male puppy in a few weeks. He is a Rough [name_f]Collie[/name_f] (like [name_f]Lassie[/name_f]!) but he was also the runt of his litter. He is actually smaller than the puppies from the next litter that were born 2 months later form a different mama. Anyway. I believe Collies are originally a Scottish dog, so I like the idea of having a Scottish name but it’s not required. I also like the idea of a name that means little or small or something like that, since he is such a lil guy. They are calling him “Shorty” right now at the breeders, but I kind of like “people” names for dogs. Some names I like, just because I like them are [name_m]Angus[/name_m], [name_u]Toby[/name_u], [name_u]Logan[/name_u], [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]…

You could do [name_u]Logan[/name_u], it’s Scottish and means “small hollow.” Not perfect, but close! Others:

[name_m]Paul[/name_m] - Latin, exact match
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u] - Irish, means small cape
