Names that sound unpretty but have pretty/sentimental associations

I think most women associate prettiness summed up to a handful of syllables and sound combinations. It seems like in my culture the most prevalent letters used for girl names are L,N,R,M, and a little less common are S,C,T, V and K. Names ending with N,[name_m]Ah[/name_m], EE, and I (sometimes O or U) sounds seem most favored. What kinds of sounds/letters do your favorite names tend to have?

If you see what I mean when you consider your own favorite names, Which of your favorite names don’t conform to this generalization and why do you think that is?

For example, I see many people like the names [name_f]Emerald[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Opal[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and I can’t help but wonder if it’s because of their positive/pretty associations? What is your take?
