Not naming a baby (or even considering having one) just been hyperfixating on this name since I saw it in [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]!
From what I can tell it’s a nickname (?) for a longer name in [name_u]Germany[/name_u] but is also sometimes used as a standalone with the spelling Mitzi/Mitzy. The character in [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] is spelled Mitsy and I think it’s so cute. I love nickname-y names and considering where I first heard it, I’m strongly associating it with old southern belle vibes (which is also a fav name genre of mine).
For the life of me I can’t think of many (any) names that match well with Mitsy. Middle names are kind of hard too, but I think any -ette names sound nice with it (Mitsy [name_f]Colette[/name_f], Mitsy [name_f]Rosette[/name_f], etc. etc.).
And I can’t think of any boy names to pair it with. This is genuinely driving me crazy because I feel like it’s something very obvious and I’m overthinking it
[name_u]Love[/name_u] Mitsy & [name_f]Maxine[/name_f]! I’m biased toward matching initials though I slightly prefer the [name_f]Mitzi[/name_f] spelling, but Mitsy is sweet as well.
