Names to Go with Sylvia and Rafael

Hello, I’m trying to find names that will fit well with Sylvia Valarie (nickname Sylvie/Vivi) and Rafael Elton (nickname Raf).

I like names that aren’t overly common but are familiar sounding/classic, rather than out-there and modern. I like names that can be shortened to a nickname but also used as they are. Trying to stay away from anything beginning with S or R. I’d prefer if the names didn’t sound too similar to Sylvia and Rafael.

Top of the list so far, but none of which I’m 100% sold on:
-Boys: Elliott, Lucas, Silas
-Girls: Penelope, Jolie

Ideally something to go with the middle names Frederick or Freddie (boy) or Lyra (girl).
Any suggestions for first and middle names would be appreciated!

Here are my thoughts on what you’ve got so far:

Boys-

Elliott-I l really like [name_u]Elliott[/name_u]. I don’t think that it clashes w/Sylvia & [name_m]Rafael[/name_m], but it doesn’t have the same romantic vibe either. Feels a bit more quiet. And it’s sort of nick-name-less too.

Lucas-Meh, this doesn’t do much for me. [name_m]Way[/name_m] way over done. I like just [name_m]Luc[/name_m]. [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_m]Luciano[/name_m] nn [name_m]Luc[/name_m]. [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_u]Luca[/name_u]! Actually, [name_u]Luca[/name_u] feels perfect w/your crew.

Silas-I like it. It’s an ‘S’ name, but I feel like it fits w/the style of [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] & [name_m]Rafael[/name_m]. A very handsome manly but sweet name.

Girls-

Penelope-Aw, I like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I feels like a great fit w/Sylvia & [name_m]Rafael[/name_m]. It’s smart & a little quirky. [name_m]Classic[/name_m] but not dusty. Lots of great nns too. I like [name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Polly[/name_f], [name_f]Nellie[/name_f] & [name_f]Poppy[/name_f].

I think for girls the one that I love the most is [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. Like you said I think it fits well and it has a few different nn options.

For the boys, I still like [name_m]Silas[/name_m] (although it is an ‘S’), I love [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] but I’m not sure if it a) feels a bit too ‘old’ and b) [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] and [name_m]Rafael[/name_m] are both artists, so I’m not sure I want an art theme. The name [name_m]Fabian[/name_m] is mentioned above but partner I’ve been told it’s too girly compared to [name_m]Rafael[/name_m].

I also like [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] or [name_m]Nathan[/name_m]. [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] is going on the list too :slight_smile:
