I’m not sure if we will be having anymore children in the future but I am hoping we do.
I would like to honor my daughter [name]Alice[/name] who we lost in [name]November[/name].
What are some names we could use to honor [name]Alice[/name]?
We already have [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Luca[/name], [name]Iris[/name] [name]Lucia[/name] and [name]Miles[/name] [name]Harrison[/name]. Our angel daughters are [name]Lillian[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] and [name]Alice[/name] [name]Susannah[/name].
[name]Iris[/name] is in honor of [name]Lily[/name], since it means “rainbow” and she is our rainbow baby. [name]Susannah[/name] is also in honor of [name]Lily[/name], since it means “lily”.
So, if we have another daughter I want to honor [name]Alice[/name].
First of all I am so so sorry for your losses. Since the meaning of [name]Alice[/name] is noble, I would consider choosing another name with the same meaning. Perhaps [name]Adalaide[/name], [name]Adaline[/name], [name]Adelle[/name], [name]Breanne[/name], [name]Audrey[/name], [name]Lyssa[/name], [name]Lydia[/name]? I wouldn’t choose a name that sounds too much like [name]Alice[/name], because your future daughter deserves her own identity that is separate from [name]Alice[/name]'s. I think choosing a name that has a similar meaning is a nice way of honoring your daughter.
I’m so sorry for your loss. The only one I thought of that has not yet been mentioned is [name]Celia[/name], which uses the same letters as [name]Alice[/name].
The other reason why I think it would be a great way to honour her is becase [name]Celia[/name] means “heavenly” which ties right in to honouring an angel baby.
Good luck, and my sympathies are with you and your family.
[name]Adelaide[/name] / [name]Adele[/name] / [name]Adela[/name] / [name]Adeline[/name] / [name]Ada[/name] / [name]Adeliza[/name] / [name]Alix[/name] are all forms of [name]Alice[/name].
