Are there any boy names that could be used to honour a [name]George[/name] without actually using the name [name]George[/name]?
You could go with an international variation
[name]Yuri[/name]
[name]Igor[/name]
[name]Geordi[/name]
or even just [name]Geo[/name] (if you’re okay with more unique)
or something that also means farmer like [name]George[/name]
Yorik
[name]Meyer[/name]
the name [name]George[/name] was derived from the greek word for farmer/earthworker/work/earth. You could look into names that have a similar meaning. Some suggestions could be: [name]Emmerich[/name] (work/labour), [name]Smith[/name] (metalworker/blacksmith), [name]Adam[/name] (from the earth [name]Adam[/name] is similar to the Hebrew word for earth), Kun (earth), Enki (ford of the earth) and even [name]Farmer[/name] - which would be part of the occupational name trend - like [name]Gardner[/name] … ooo [name]Gardner[/name] would work to.
Otherwise variations for different countries are plentiful as well: [name]Jordi[/name], [name]Jory[/name], Siorus and [name]Juro[/name] are some of my favorite.
