We like the name [name_m]Frey[/name_m] for a boy - we haven’t been able to agree on much else
but I’m starting to worry whether it rhymes with too many things. What do you think? Thanks!
The only one that comes to mind immediately is the word tray.
I really dont think it’s a problem! I mean, [name_f]Jane[/name_f] rhymes with a bunch of things as well (plain, plane, pain etc) and it’s still a well-used classic. Plus, if [name_u]Gray[/name_u]/[name_u]Grey[/name_u] works why not [name_m]Frey[/name_m]?
I think [name_m]Frey[/name_m] works. It has a kind of rugged, mythical softness about it
My name ([name_f]Carrie[/name_f]) rhymes with SO. MANY. THINGS. Including a bunch of other names. So when anyone yells for [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_m]Larry[/name_m], [name_u]Barry[/name_u], [name_u]Terry[/name_u], [name_u]Jerry[/name_u], etc., or even [name_f]Karen[/name_f], [name_f]Carol[/name_f] or [name_f]Kara[/name_f], I perk up my ears.
But honestly, it’s such a minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things, and no one ever used rhymes to tease me. I wouldn’t worry about it if you love the name.
