[name_m]New[/name_m] here! Im expecting a little one in [name_u]December[/name_u] and my husband and I have decided to compile separate baby name lists and compare nearer the end of the pregnancy.
With our other babies we have debated and chopped and changed so much that we think this would be a nice way to come up with fresh ideas.
I don’t find girls names easy at all, but I know I like hard sounding constants… so nothing too frilly or with too many vowel sounds.
Examples of this style include
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f]
[name_f]Hester[/name_f]
[name_f]Greta[/name_f]
[name_u]Sydney[/name_u]
[name_f]Martha[/name_f]
[name_f]Enid[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]
Trying not to repeat. It may help if we knew the names of your others just to get a feel for style, but from your list this is right up my alley. I have learned that Ms and Ds are my friends
Since you like [name_f]Jemima[/name_f], [name_f]Hester[/name_f], [name_f]Enid[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f] maybe:
[name_f]Wilma[/name_f]- a nice change from [name_f]Willa[/name_f]/[name_f]Willow[/name_f]. There is [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] but that’s a bit more fancy
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]/[name_f]Inez[/name_f]
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f]- It would likely get shortened to [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], but [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] would also make a cute nn
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f]
[name_f]Uma[/name_f]- there is also [name_f]Una[/name_f] and [name_f]Oona[/name_f] but i think the M makes a stronger sound
Since you like [name_u]Sydney[/name_u] and [name_u]Piper[/name_u] maybe you’d go for:
[name_f]Maren[/name_f]
[name_u]Harper[/name_u]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Martha[/name_f] is biblical so:
[name_f]Judith[/name_f]- someone suggested [name_f]Judy[/name_f], but what about [name_f]Judith[/name_f]
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]/[name_f]Rebekah[/name_f]
there is always [name_f]Mary[/name_f] but what about variants such as [name_f]Marie[/name_f], [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Maureen[/name_f]
Johna
Phillippa or even [name_f]Phyllida[/name_f] or [name_f]Phyllis[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] but gives me a Greek vibe so:
[name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]
[name_f]Thelma[/name_f]
[name_f]Eugenia[/name_f]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] has a nature vibe so maybe
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Laurel[/name_f]
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]- getting slightly trendy but it’s cute, there is also the zippy [name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Lavender[/name_f]- most your names are one to two syllables but [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] is one of my favorites
[name_m]Just[/name_m] for fun, some royals:
[name_f]Alberta[/name_f]- nn [name_u]Berry[/name_u]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]- very popular
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f]- maybe more frilly than the others but i love it. [name_f]Ouisa[/name_f], [name_f]Louise[/name_f], [name_f]Lois[/name_f], [name_f]Ouida[/name_f] are variants
[name_f]Ingrid [/name_f] was suggested but lately I’m loving the simple Inga and Inge
[name_f]Olga[/name_f]- fits right in with [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] and olive, but that g is so beautiful to me
Best of luck, please keep us updated as i’m loving your style and am curious what you will go with
