Names with a similar vibe

I think [name_m]Warren[/name_m] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] might be the top two contenders at the moment. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I also like [name_u]Beckett[/name_u], but the amount of pushback it has gotten from our family has sort of tainted it for me. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Oliver[/name_u], but it’s far too popular. I like [name_m]Colin[/name_m], but husband thinks it’s just okay. [name_m]Warren[/name_m] was my paternal grandfather’s name, and I like that it feels sturdy and old fashioned without being overly-popular. [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is another family name. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband likes it as a first name, but I would prefer it as a middle, as I have a friend named [name_u]Alex[/name_u]. [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] is my husband’s and his father’s middle name, so that is a strong contender for our son’s middle name. I think [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] would be adorable as a first name, too, but hate the nicknames [name_u]Pat[/name_u] and [name_m]Rick[/name_m].

Apologies if I’ve been receptive on here as I keep coming back for more suggestions. But if you have any baby boy names that give you a similar vibe as those mentioned above, please share!

I love both [name_u]Owen[/name_u] and [name_u]Beckett[/name_u]! I’m sorry you’ve been getting some negative feedback, though–I can see how that would be hard to sift through. Other suggestions that remind me of [name_m]Warren[/name_m], [name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_u]Beckett[/name_u], [name_u]Oliver[/name_u], and/or [name_m]Colin[/name_m]:

Clark
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_m]Franklin[/name_m]
[name_m]Graham[/name_m]
[name_u]Griffin[/name_u]
[name_u]Holden[/name_u]
[name_u]Lincoln[/name_u]
[name_u]Miles[/name_u]
[name_u]Nolan[/name_u]
[name_u]Parker[/name_u]
[name_u]Reid[/name_u]
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]
[name_u]Sullivan[/name_u]
[name_m]Wesley[/name_m]

I think a lot of these would be great with [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] or [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]!

Warren is rugged and charming. I like it.

Owen is sweet but strong

Beckett is beautiful and literary!

I think [name_u]Beckett[/name_u] is probably my favourite, followed by [name_u]Owen[/name_u]

Marshall, [name_m]Wesley[/name_m], [name_u]Bennett[/name_u] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] could be similar options

Oscar is another on my list! Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate it!

My mother LOVES [name_u]Everett[/name_u], it’s just a tad too close to my friend’s baby’s name. Thanks for the other suggestions and feedback!

Oscar is a slightly less popular alternative to [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] that I like. I like [name_u]August[/name_u] (maybe I’m biased because I’m an [name_u]August[/name_u] baby myself) and think the nickname [name_m]Auggie[/name_m] is cute! Husband is not convinced though. [name_f]My[/name_f] mom loves [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], but it’s too similar to phlegm to me. I like [name_u]Finch[/name_u] and [name_m]Fitz[/name_m]/Fitzpatrick though! I’ll show these suggestions to my husband and see if we can find common ground on any. Thanks for recommendations!

I love [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and the Patricks I know have never been [name_m]Pats[/name_m] or [name_m]Ricks[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] or [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m].

I don’t think [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] would get called [name_u]Pat[/name_u] or [name_m]Rick[/name_m]. [name_m]Ive[/name_m] known a bunch of Patricks that are just [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]. Only one middle aged [name_u]Pat[/name_u].
