Names with bad associations?

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you have names which are associated with people who you wouldn’t want to name your child after? I have many that I’ve liked, and have made it onto my lists, that have been taken off for bad associations. Here are mine:

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_m]Roman[/name_m], [name_m]Ciaran[/name_m] (some of my husband’s students)
[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] (husband’s ex, and also someone who picked on me at university)
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] (friend’s daughter who is a little brat)
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] (family member on husband’s side)
[name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] (my worst enemy at school)
[name_m]Archie[/name_m] (husband doesn’t like it because he just thinks of [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_u]Harry[/name_u] & [name_f]Meghan[/name_f]'s son)

Meghan/Megan - Exactly because of the association to Markle
[name_m]Nathan[/name_m] - The most vile person I have ever worked with. Beautiful name though
[name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] - Partner’s ex’s

Actually I must say, I’ve always quite liked the name [name_f]Meghan[/name_f], especially spelt with the H. But there’s no way I could ever use it for the exact reason you just gave. I have no problem at all with [name_f]Meghan[/name_f] Markle, and couldn’t care less about the royal family, but my family just can’t stand her for some reason. They’d laugh at me if I suggested [name_f]Meghan[/name_f].

I have lovely associations with some of these names too, but the negative association overpowered them, sad to say…

Bella- I’ve known to many horrible people
[name_u]Cruz[/name_u]- A really mean teacher with this last name
[name_f]Coppelia[/name_f]- Reminds me to much of coprolalia
[name_u]Connor[/name_u]- A bratty kid I knew
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u]/Alexa- Same as [name_f]Bella[/name_f]
[name_u]Jojo[/name_u]- [name_u]Jojo[/name_u] Siwa

The name [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] unfortunately has become associated with [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] Dahmer, [name_m]Jeffree[/name_m] [name_f]Star[/name_f], and [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m] Epstein.

[name_m]Oleg[/name_m] - man who molested me when I was twelve
[name_f]Angelica[/name_f] - scary movie character
[name_f]Blanche[/name_f] - [name_f]Blanche[/name_f] Moniere
