Hello! I’m writing a story where the number five constantly pops up. I won’t dive too deep into it, but five acts as a symbol of sorts. I need help naming five children, each with five letters in the name, and to make it even more difficult, I’m trying to find cottagecore-sounding, vintage names.
So far I have [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] for girls, which I am reasonably happy with (but if you have any ideas, go ahead!). For boys, I’m a little more stuck. I’m more conservative when it comes to boy names, so I don’t like many cottagecore-sounding names. Instead, it’s more vintage, British-sounding names like [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] “[name_u]Alfie[/name_u]” (while [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] has five letters, I can’t use it because the full name, [name_m]Alfred[/name_m], has six), [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] (six letters) and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] “[name_u]Harry[/name_u]” (too popular for cottagecore?).
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I don’t associate [name_m]Henry[/name_m]/Harry with cottagecore at all, though it is popular if that’s something you’d like to steer away from as well.
Not sure all of these fit the bill style-wise, but here are a bunch of boys names that have 5 letters:
Thank you everyone for your replies! I have decided to keep my girl names (but I appreciate the extra ideas I was given!). For boys, I’ve shortlisted [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Lewis[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_m]Ethan[/name_m] and [name_m]Burke[/name_m], all perfect names. Again, thank you so much for your help!
