I’m adoring [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] on girls.
They bring up a certain imagery for me: they feel light and whimsical; happy girls with bouncy curls and fairy wings and sneakers, riding bikes, catching fireflies in mason jars. Rough and tumble and sugar and spice all wrapped up together.
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] were/are on my list, but they don’t have this feel. They feel too stuffy, too rigid.
I’m considering [name_f]Agnes[/name_f]/[name_f]Agatha[/name_f], which feels closer but isn’t quite there yet.
I love your names and I love names with a similar feel. I wanted something down to earth, sweet and spunky with a dash of elegance and whimsy charm.
We went with [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] ([name_f]Tilly[/name_f]/[name_f]Tildy[/name_f]) for out first daughter…
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] ([name_u]Rory[/name_u]) was up there in our list along with [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] (izzy/sadie/dory)… Other names that have that feel for me are:
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] (goldie)
[name_f]Luna[/name_f]
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (maggie)
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] ([name_f]Indi[/name_f])
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] (dottie)
[name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] ([name_f]Winnie[/name_f])
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] ([name_f]Tilly[/name_f])
Tallulah (lulu/lula)
[name_u]Artemis[/name_u], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], and [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] - great names and I love your imagery of these names, they are so spot on. Another name I feel fits this description, that hasn’t been mentioned, is [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] - I agree they are a but stuffy and old ladyish. I feel [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] is stuffy too.
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] straddles the line between light and whimsical/rough and tumble with sugar and spice and being a tad bit stuffy and rigid.
