[name_m]How[/name_m] do people feel about using a name that has the same ending as the surname? For example, I love the name [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], a lot, but our surname ends in ley. Is this a possibility or does it sound too sing songy?
NO, I don’t think it matters much. I have a friend called [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] Robshaw and at first I wasn’t keen but now I think its adorable.
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is a really pretty name too! I say go for it.
It doesn’t matter. People on this site tend to be really OCD about things like that, but something like [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Finley[/name_u] or [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] doesn’t sound bad at all.
I think it depends on the other sounds in your last name as well as the length of the name. For example [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_m]Audley[/name_m] or [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_u]Donnelly[/name_u] I think is a little too sing-songy, but [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] Mcfarley might work…
So I would say it’s not out of the question, it just depends on your last name
