Anything beginning or ending in L, or heavy with Ls in the middle because of our surname. It’s a pity, though, because I absolutely love the names [name]Liam[/name], [name]Leo[/name], [name]Levi[/name], [name]Lila[/name], [name]Isabel[/name], [name]Hazel[/name], and [name]Cecily[/name].
Anything ending in A because DH’s accent turns the A sound into -ER ([name]Gemma[/name] becomes Gemmer, etc.). I think it’s kinda cute, but he gets embarrassed, poor guy. Again, this stinks. I love the names [name]Ava[/name], [name]Stella[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Ella[/name], [name]Isla[/name] and [name]Zara[/name].
[name]Jemima[/name] - I absolutely love this name and would use it in a heartbeat, in spite of the A at the end, but living in the States makes it inadvisable, at best. I would consider moving to the UK just for [name]Jemima[/name], but DH says it was too difficult to get here to turn around and go back, lol
[name]Brenna[/name] - I read the name in a book and fell in love but made the mistake of telling my [name]SIL[/name]. Two weeks later… well, you know the story.
[name]Henry[/name]… or [name]Harry[/name] - I never can decide which I like better, but I know I’ve got to chose one. I’m leaning toward [name]Henry[/name] today.
[name]Cadence[/name] - I think it’s so pretty, but it’s absolutely impossible with our surname.
[name]Bridget[/name] - This was at the top of my list for a long time, but DH wrinkled his nose at it. Blah.
[name]Nahla[/name], [name]Sanaa[/name], [name]Thandie[/name], [name]Zuri[/name], [name]Sunday[/name], [name]January[/name], [name]Winter[/name], [name]Matteo[/name], [name]Cruz[/name] and [name]Luca[/name] - DH likes “traditional” English names. Blah again.
