Names you liked when you were a kid?

Some people (like my sister that still love the name [name]Maia[/name]) ve loved a name since they were kids! I remeber I loved the name [name]Soledad[/name] (now i hate it), [name]Alicia[/name] (Ive got a pink-hair doll with this name), [name]Barbie[/name] or B”rbara (now i think its annoying) and [name]Mingo[/name] (like my dad). My sister loved too the name [name]Fanny[/name] and [name]Sandy[/name]!!
What about you?? What names do you like when you were a kid?

I was big into [name]Star[/name] Trek around the time I started making lists, so characters and actors from that featured big in sixth grade. The only name that really sticks out, though, is [name]Gillian[/name]. I used it in seventh grade for my egg baby project (paired with a twin sister, [name]Ryan[/name]). Definitely would never use [name]Ryan[/name] for a girl now, it’s all boy, and I still have no interest in using it, but fourteen years later, [name]Gillian[/name] is still on my girl’s list.

[name]Alexis[/name]

The names I liked when I first got interested in names were awful! I recently found a notebook full of my favourite names from when I was 8. I found names like [name]Dolly[/name], [name]Honey[/name], [name]Candy[/name], [name]Marcella[/name], [name]Jewel[/name], [name]Amber[/name] and [name]Lola[/name]…

I had Barbies that I named Niala and [name]Oriana[/name]…I still [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Oriana[/name], and [name]Orion[/name] is one of my fave boys names…not so much in love with Niala though! I also thought any name from the [name]Star[/name] Wars universe was just awesome…movies and books. I especially liked [name]Luke[/name], [name]Lando[/name], [name]Leia[/name], [name]Calista[/name], & [name]Mara[/name] [name]Jade[/name].

Well, I kind of still am a kid, but when I was little, I loved the names [name]Maia[/name], [name]Maren[/name], [name]Liana[/name] and [name]Fiona[/name]. I still love [name]Fiona[/name], actually.

When I was REALLY little (first few years of school little), I always wished my name were either [name]Jessica[/name] or [name]Ashley[/name]. Everybody always spelled my name wrong… [name]Kaitlyn[/name] or [name]Caitlin[/name] and I was always correcting people. I still do it to this day but it doesn’t bother me anymore. I also loved the name [name]Destiny[/name]. I dislike all of these names now (tbh I like the sound of [name]Jessica[/name] but hate the popularity).

For boys, I know I loved [name]Alexander[/name] for the longest time; also [name]Aubrey[/name], which is still a guilty pleasure of mine! And I know two people on here have male relatives with [name]Aubrey[/name] (I think as MNs) so I’m not alone!

So…
[name]Jessica[/name], [name]Ashley[/name], [name]Destiny[/name]
[name]Alexander[/name], [name]Aubrey[/name]

I don’t know if I’m one of the one’s with a male [name]Aubrey[/name] relative that you were already counting but…my grandfather is [name]William[/name] [name]Aubrey[/name] Sr. (goes by [name]Bill[/name]) and my dad is [name]William[/name] [name]Aubrey[/name] [name]Jr[/name]. (goes by [name]Aubrey[/name])! There have been other [name]Aubrey[/name]'s in the family as well. Plus, I think [name]Aubrey[/name]'s cool b/c Sir [name]Aubrey[/name] was one of the knights of the round table. I think it’s time the boy’s took this one back!

As a kid, I loved the name [name]Tillie[/name]. I honestly have no clue where I heard it, but I was obsessed with it.
I also loved the name [name]Isabella[/name] and, while I still like it, [name]Isabel[/name] is one of my favorites.

I can’t really remember what other names I liked, but I did used to name all of my stuffed animals, and dolls if I had some.

Ugh I went through an [name]Amber[/name] phase…
I also liked names that I still think are lovely like [name]Anne[/name] and [name]Alexandra[/name]

I’m fourteen now, but I remember 2 years ago before I became obsessed with names I loved [name]Crystal[/name], Audriella, [name]Alana[/name], [name]Calista[/name], [name]Violetta[/name], [name]Jennica[/name], Taralyn, Madelie, Kirstia, and [name]Gracelyn[/name]. Now the only ones out of those I can even stand is [name]Alana[/name] and [name]Violetta[/name], maybe [name]Callista[/name] but only spelled with two Ls. I think I mostly liked names that were made up but sounded real. I remember I didn’t like any boy names back then, and I had [name]William[/name] and [name]Samuel[/name] in mind and didn’t want to change that.

When I was little, I went through a [name]MAJOR[/name] [name]Lord[/name] of the Rings phase. For a while, I was definitely planning on naming any future children [name]Arwen[/name], Galadriel, [name]Pippin[/name], Meriadoc, Samwise, and [name]Elinor[/name]. On the bright side, it spawned my current love for Irish/Welsh names. They have that same magical ring to them, but they don’t scream “I [name]LOVE[/name] LOTR” like the other names do.

From age 5 to about 14 my future son and dauther were 100% with out a doubt named [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Pierce[/name] and [name]Keely[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. My best friend ended up dating a supreme douchelord named [name]Sebastian[/name] which utterly ruined the name for me and I don’t like [name]Keely[/name] anymore at all.

when i was younger i tended to invent names. i was 100% sure my future children would be
age 5-7 Brookedylan [name]Grace[/name], Emmabelle [name]Faith[/name],[name]Alex[/name]-[name]Avery[/name] [name]Matthias[/name] (i now know an [name]Alex[/name]-[name]Avery[/name])
age 8-12 (the hippy phase) PixieDust Moonbeam,Tigerlilly Memory,Seelie Faerie,[name]Cherry[/name] [name]Blossom[/name],Bloom [name]Meadow[/name],[name]Night[/name] [name]Cloud[/name]
age 13-15 [name]Alice[/name] [name]Monroe[/name],[name]Juliet[/name] [name]Lark[/name],[name]Burton[/name] [name]Hendrix[/name],[name]Holly[/name] Motley,[name]Presley[/name] [name]Starr[/name],[name]Lennon[/name] [name]Cash[/name]

i actually still love [name]Alice[/name],[name]Juliet[/name],[name]Lennon[/name],Tigerlilly,[name]Night[/name],Brookedylan,and Emmabelle

I always liked the names [name]Lily[/name], [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Alicia[/name]. Those were going to be the names of my children.

[name]Sally[/name], i named everything [name]Sally[/name], my goldfish, my stuffed animals, … myself. There was a time when i would only go by [name]Sally[/name].

I was inspired to make my very first name list at age 8 when I became convinced that I would name my future daughter [name]Winter[/name], after a pretty and popular teenager at my school. At least it wasn’t too odd of a name to be in love with at that age!

I loved the name Ashleah (which is not really a name but basically my two best friends names mashed together- [name]Ashley[/name] and [name]Leah[/name]). I also LOVED the name [name]Buttercup[/name] (from the [name]Princess[/name] [name]Bride[/name]), [name]Dorothy[/name] (from The [name]Wizard[/name] of [name]Oz[/name]), and Greek mythology names: [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Calliope[/name], [name]Thisbe[/name], [name]Jocasta[/name]… I also really liked the boys name [name]Dylan[/name] (which is still one of my favorites because of 90210). Last but not least I loved the name [name]Courtney[/name] [name]Sarah[/name]- no idea why!

I’ve loved [name]Charlotte[/name] since I was like 8, and I still do.

I started listing names when i was 9. The names i liked then were [name]Liam[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], [name]Logan[/name], [name]Justin[/name] and [name]Kyle[/name] for boys. And now i dont like any of them. And for girls they were - [name]Alexis[/name], [name]Brooklyn[/name], [name]Caley[/name], [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Holly[/name]. And now i only like the name [name]Emma[/name].

Now 6 years later, the names i like now are - Boys: [name]Ryker[/name], [name]Oakley[/name], [name]Julian[/name] & [name]Lucca[/name]. And girls - Lexzi, [name]Emma[/name], [name]Finlee[/name], [name]Jaidyn[/name], [name]Lucca[/name] & [name]Zavier[/name]. Yes, i know all very unigue names, but i love them!

When I was growing up I had a mad obsession with the name Jenicka. I would name everything I could that or [name]Rebekah[/name].
I don’t recall having a favorite male name but I think [name]Ryan[/name] was used a lot. I don’t know why I liked those names, I sure don’t now!

Now I want another little boy to name [name]Rocco[/name] and a couple little girls to name [name]Vanessa[/name] and [name]Hadley[/name].
