Names you love but can't use

What are names you love but can’t use (due to someone else using the name or maybe it rhymes with another name or maybe your SO vetoed it)

Mine for girls are:

Vivienne- I know too many

Audrey - my cousin’s name

Evangeline- God daughters name

Olivia - I probably could use this but its so common. I added Olivienne to my list instead

Eva/Eve

Maren - sounds like my name. I have [name_u]Marin[/name_u] on my list as a middle though

Violet- Im naming my son [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] so not sure if [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is now too similar which does upset me

Yvette - same issue as above

Hi there.

For girls I have…

Aine-I don’t mind the the spelling would be hard for people in the U.S, but the fact that it just doesn’t sound right without an Irish accent turns me off. I don’t have an Irish accent nor does anyone where I live.

Adeline-I’ve loved this name since around the turn of the centenary. But just every little girl I meet is called [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f], & it’s just too close.

Amelia-I named my cat this. :smile_cat: Which is okay, because I don’t mind my cat having a common name as much as I would mind a it on a human child.

Beatrix-It’s my doggy’s mn.

Fiona-[name_f]My[/name_f] doggy’s fn!

Felicity-[name_f]My[/name_f] husband said it sounds like a stripper name, so…

Josephine-I love it so much, but I just don’t think that I care for [name_u]Jo[/name_u]/Joey/Josie, & feel like those would be somewhat unavoidable.

Lilia-[name_f]My[/name_f] mom named her cat this.

Miriam-I would maybe still consider this, but it sounds pretty bad w/out last name.

Too out there:

[name_f]Katia[/name_f]
[name_f]Acacia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassia[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]

[name_f]Rachel[/name_f]

Polly - my daughter’s name is [name_f]Esther[/name_f]…

Harriet, [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] - too popular.
