Names you love but have since grown tired of?

[name]Just[/name] wondering what name was your ultimate favorite (within the last 12 months) but recently you became bored of e.g. [name]Willow[/name] was a front runner for my little girl due in 4wks however now I’m just bored of it

[name]Beatrice[/name] fits that description for me because I have been hearing it too much.

[name]Cordelia[/name]. I used to love it as much as [name]Cornelia[/name] but it’s so popular not only on Namrberry that I became slightly tired of it. I don’t hate it but suppose it may get into the new top 1000.

[name]Cordelia[/name] is still a beautiful name but I totally understand! [name]Do[/name] you know where I can find a recent copy of the top 1000 name list?

I find it very fitting that the first name I thought of was [name]Beatrice[/name]. It was one of my favorites for quite a while and I even thought it could withstand the resurgence of ‘granny chic’ names, but I’m just seeing it too much now. Part of me is glad that people are using it, but part of me is bored of it now.

I feel like that with all of my girls names at the moment. With the exception of [name]Beatrice[/name] (I never liked this to begin with), [name]Ottilie[/name], [name]Olive[/name] and [name]Florence[/name]. I guess my two major favourites that I am starting to get bored of are [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Octavia[/name].

I used to adore the name [name]Matilda[/name] but growing a bit tired of it!

I used to love [name]Maeve[/name] but I don’t swoon as much when I hear it. Same with Rosmary.

[name]Iris[/name]. I’m not sure what happened, I’m just kind of over it now. And I loved it for years. Maybe it will grab my attention again one day… but not today.

In the past year? I can’t really think of anything. My list usually doesn’t change too much, haha. I can think of several that were huge favorites and have since fallen off my list, though, like [name]Seth[/name], [name]Silas[/name], [name]Daniel[/name], [name]Holden[/name], [name]Jonas[/name], [name]Leila[/name]/[name]Laila[/name], [name]Hadley[/name] (okay, I still [name]ADORE[/name] this, but I refuse to use a unisex name up front, so I won’t go near it), [name]Eliza[/name] (still love it, but it just seems so overused now). I would say [name]Emmeline[/name], as well, as that was once my top choice, but it is back on my list and I adore it, so I’m not sure that qualifies here. Those have all been off my list for over a year, though…

I think I might do this with basically all names. I still technically love the ones we had settled on for my daughter and then in between while we were trying…but I think I’m a bit fickle and the novelty eventually wears off and I want to love something new. I am afraid this is true and we’ll bypass the perfect name for us just because I came to it at the wrong time. I swore if we had another girl she would be [name]Augusta[/name] but now we’ve moved on and I love [name]Antonia[/name] more.

I used to love [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Will[/name] but I’ve heard them enough times that I’ve grown tired of them. I still really like them though, just not as much as I used to.

Use to love [name]Delilah[/name] but it’s become waaaay too popular! Same thing with [name]Dahlia[/name] I feel like its being used everywhere now. I use to find middle names like grace, hope and faith so pretty but I feel like everyone has a middle name like that now.

Not because they’ve become popular, but several old favorites have lost their luster for me.

[name]Evangeline[/name]- because I dread the accent it would be said with due to where I live
[name]Lily[/name] and all it’s variations- just boring to me now…this might because of the popularity
[name]Ivy[/name]- just makes me shrug when I hear it

Sometimes names circle back into my lists though, I hated [name]Ezra[/name] for the longest time and now it’s one of my favorite boy names. So who knows! It’s a love/hate thing these name lists!

[name]Emmeline[/name] (heard it too often) and [name]Senna[/name] (just fell out of love.)

I agree 100% with all of the [name]Violet[/name] comments…
[name]Zoe[/name] is totally it with me… I used to love it dearly and now it’s just bleh. Cannot picture it on an adult at all.

[name]Genevieve[/name]. I LOOOOVED [name]Genevieve[/name], but now, it’s just like “Meh” for me.

[name]Liv[/name]. I still like it and would probably use it, but it’s so short and simple that it begins to feel stale.

wren…it’s overused
