Names you’ve seen given to preschoolers-newborns in the past few years

Sometimes I get jealous that you have so much better naming taste over in the UK, but then I remember that if I was there that would mean a lot of my favorites would be popular, and then I would be sad…but what I would give to have a surplus of [name_m]Adas[/name_m], Margots, Phoebes, Florences, and Ruths running around!

Hi there.

I’m in the Midwest U.S. in a fairly large city. Here are the girl names that I’ve seen multiple of given to babies in the past few years:

Avery

Adelyn

Alice

Aubrey

Evelyn

Isla

People seem to like vowels! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

I’m in [name_f]France[/name_f], my kid is 3. Some i’ve heard:

Leo/Léo (every second boy)
[name_f]Lina[/name_f]/Lena (v popular)
[name_m]Marius[/name_m]
[name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_m]Enzo[/name_m]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u]
[name_f]Eloise[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_m]Thibaut[/name_m]
[name_f]Gemma[/name_f]
[name_m]Honoré[/name_m] /Honore (gender neutral, heard on both boy and girl)
[name_u]Zola[/name_u]
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] (m) [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] (f)
[name_f]Opaline[/name_f]
Aïcha
[name_f]Léa[/name_f] /Lia
[name_f]Liana[/name_f]/Lyana/Eliana
And [name_f]Jade[/name_f] everwhere!

Seems to be a preference for very short and easy to pronounce names recently.
