Here are mine, I got a lot of hate on them
I only had girl names though…
Lexington [name]Poppy[/name], [name]India[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Verity[/name] [name]Snow[/name].
Here are mine, I got a lot of hate on them
I only had girl names though…
Lexington [name]Poppy[/name], [name]India[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Verity[/name] [name]Snow[/name].
[name]Indigo[/name], [name]Ruth[/name], [name]Ophelia[/name]
[name]Echo[/name], [name]Alouette[/name], [name]Alpheus[/name], and [name]Hart[/name]! [name]Love[/name] them but I know everyone would be weirded out if I suggested them.
BTW not only do I think that [name]Verity[/name] [name]Snow[/name] is definatly useable, I also think its a beautiful name. [name]Verity[/name] [name]Mae[/name] is one I’m toying with but not sure of my hubby will go for it.
I [name]LOVE[/name] the name Nymeria, nn Nym, from Game of Thrones! But unfortunately the author just made it up, so I won’t be using it.
Also [name]Holliday[/name], [name]Caspian[/name] and [name]Omri[/name]!
I echo tuitree on [name]Echo[/name]! I love the name to pieces, but in reality, the teasing potential is just too high. My state names, [name]Indiana[/name] and [name]Dakota[/name], are also iffy, though [name]Dakota[/name] is probably more usable to me, thanks to a girl I know named it. Caspia is another one, but I think it’s better for a book character
[name]LOVE[/name] [name]India[/name] [name]Rose[/name]!
[name]One[/name] of my faves, but I’m not brave enough to use it.
I love Sweetbriar but would never use it (except maybe for a mn if hubs let me), same with [name]Honey[/name]/Honeybee & [name]Lavender[/name].
[name]Octavia[/name]. Wish i was brave enough to use it but im not. I also love [name]Persephone[/name], [name]Ariadne[/name], [name]Briar[/name], [name]Sunday[/name], and [name]Soleil[/name].
[name]Halifax[/name], Rouensa (Native American Chief in the family tree), Rouensic (Native A. settlement named for the Chief), Catiche, [name]Esperance[/name], [name]Jacques[/name], [name]Jean[/name]-[name]Claude[/name], Missouria (name for the tribe prior to the state), [name]Etienne[/name], [name]Jacquetta[/name], [name]Calisto[/name]
I really love…
[name]Ives[/name]
Wythe
[name]Violet[/name]
But my sister claimed [name]Violet[/name]; [name]Wyatt[/name] is more conventional (and pronounceable) than Wythe; and [name]Ives[/name] is downright unaccepted by family. Oh well.
[name]Ever[/name], [name]Clotilde[/name], [name]Eluned[/name], Ayleth, [name]Oona[/name], Siofra, [name]Antigone[/name], [name]Alcyone[/name], Godelieve, [name]Thessaly[/name]
I love [name]Alessandra[/name], [name]Aria/name, [name]Brooke[/name], [name]Elodie[/name], [name]Fallon[/name], [name]Flanna[/name], [name]Lucie[/name], [name]Mallory[/name], [name]McKinley[/name], [name]Noelle[/name], [name]Spencer[/name], [name]Summer[/name], [name]Taylor[/name], [name]Tess/name, [name]Valerie[/name], [name]Vera[/name], [name]Wendy[/name] and [name]Zoe[/name]… but would never use them for various reasons.
[name]Willow[/name], [name]India[/name], [name]Guinevere[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name].
[name]Oakley[/name]- Too associated with the sunglasses brand where I’m from.
[name]India[/name]- So pretty, but too controversial
surprised these names are so tame, compared to some of the frankly ridiculous names ive seen people actually considering for their kids.
be bold with some of these! for the most part dont think they’d be too weird or cause spelling/pronunciation problems!
[name]Evening[/name]
[name]Eira[/name] [name]Snow[/name]
[name]Lotus[/name]
[name]Orchid[/name]
are the ones that come to mind, here are some that my DH vetoed, but I wouldn’t have minded using:
[name]Euphemia[/name]
[name]Artemis[/name]
[name]Artemisia[/name]
The might make it to the middle spot, we’ll see…
These are my “guilty pleasure” combos. I’d totally use them if I could:

@sapphires - That’s a beautiful list. I think you’d find many of the names more usable than you’d think.
I also relate to your signature, at least on the girl side. I just can’t find any that ever feel completely right, and the ones I do happen to love are beyond unusable.
@catlovered - I almost put [name]Evening[/name] on my list, but didn’t at the last moment. It would make such a lovely, enchanting name.
[name]Sparrow[/name], [name]Echo[/name], [name]Aspen[/name], [name]Egypt[/name], [name]Ireland[/name]… The vacant-minded celebrity in me loves these to bits.
I always seem to have more girl named than boys for Guilty Pleasures.
Girls: [name]Esmeralda[/name], [name]Estelle[/name], [name]Lunette[/name], [name]Carter[/name], [name]Sawyer[/name], [name]Carlisle[/name] “[name]Isla[/name]”, [name]Delilah[/name] ("[name]Lilah[/name]"), [name]Lilac[/name], Dandie, [name]Chastity[/name], [name]Starla[/name], [name]Remi[/name], etc.
Boys: [name]Carlisle[/name] “[name]Lyle[/name]”, House (huge fan of the show), [name]Dalton[/name], [name]Cesar[/name], Dandy, [name]Leopold[/name] “[name]Leo[/name]”, [name]Theodore[/name] “[name]Theo[/name]”, etc.
There are some names I love that I’d never use, but not necessarily because they’re too out there. They just don’t really feel like ‘my kids’, or go with other names I’d want to use more. Like:
[name]Romilly[/name] (nn [name]Romy[/name])
[name]Freya[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]June[/name]
