Are there any names out there that you used to dislike or even loathe, but after a while or because of a person, you started liking it a lot more?

Definitely. The first that comes to mind is [name_u]Stanley[/name_u]. I used to loathe this name but now I really like it. Same with [name_f]Mavis[/name_f], [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], [name_m]Huxley[/name_m], [name_m]Brian[/name_m], [name_f]Susan[/name_f], and many more.
If 12-year-old me saw my list now, she would think I lost my mind!

For me it’s [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]. I used to be dismissive of it, but now I’ve come to appreciate the familiar-yet-unusual and strong-yet-girly vibe of it.
A lot of “old lady” names-- [name_f]Louise[/name_f] & [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] used to make me go bleh but I love them now! They’re even in my signature. ([name_f]Matilda[/name_f] because I love the nn [name_f]Tillie[/name_f] & [name_f]Louise[/name_f] because of [name_m]Bob[/name_m]'s Burgers LOL.)
[name_m]Iggy[/name_m] [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] made me hate the name [name_f]Azalea[/name_f] but I’m slowly starting to love it…
& [name_m]Zigmund[/name_m] used to be weird and ugly to me but now I just absolutely adore it! It’s my grandpa’s middle.
I used to dislike [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Isolde[/name_f] but now I adore them! For boys, it would be [name_m]Alfred[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Sylvester[/name_m].
[name_u]August[/name_u], I hated it before and didn’t get why everyone was into it, but ever since I discovered nickname Auggie I’ve started to really like it
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m], it’s not in my list but I don’t dislike it anymore, I’m simply indifferent to it
[name_m]Albert[/name_m], I used to find the nickname [name_u]Bertie[/name_u] ugly-sounding but I think it’s cute now

[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is far too popular for me to ever use but I secretly love it. A few months back I thought of it as dated and boring

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f]~i used to think it was plain ugly, but i really like it now and think it’s strong yet feminine (i also like the nn [name_f]Ginny[/name_f])
[name_f]Jordana[/name_f]~i used to not like this because i don’t like the name [name_u]Jordan[/name_u], but it’s realky grown on me despite how similar it is to [name_u]Jordan[/name_u]
[name_f]Mieke[/name_f] (mee-kah)~i don’t really know why i didn’t like this name, but i think it’s super cute now

[name_u]Kit[/name_u]. I’m still not a huge fan of it, but having seen it in lots of signatures, it’s begun to grow on me as middle name potential.
[name_m]Apollo[/name_m]/[name_u]Orion[/name_u]/[name_m]Jupiter[/name_m]/[name_f]Astrid[/name_f] - again, still not a huge fan of them. But I don’t outright dislike them any more, just a mild ‘not my style’ now. Space names just aren’t ‘practical’ for me, but some of them sound nice enough.
