I’m not pregnant (or even thinking about it, way too young) but wdyt of the names [name]Eavan[/name] & [name]Tierney[/name] for girls and [name]Riley[/name] for a boy? For future children! (possibly) Please comment and tell me what you think and if the girl names would be to hard to pronounce in the US etc… Also Middle names please! Thank you!
Anyone?
I think that both [name]Tierney[/name] and [name]Riley[/name] are simple for people to pronounce. [name]Eavan[/name] might be trickier.
These names really aren’t my style, so it’s hard to say too, too much about them.
[name]Riley[/name] has become pretty unisex these days, so one thing to think about is that a boy [name]Riley[/name] will most likely be outnumbered by girl Rileys at school. At the moment, [name]Riley[/name] is the #39th most popular girls’ name in the US but only comes in at the #106th most popular for boys. I’m not saying this should deter you from using it on a boy, but I personally tend to prefer names that are more gender-specific.
[name]Tierney[/name] is okay, but it sounds a lot like “tyranny” to me, which isn’t the greatest association.
[name]Eavan[/name] has a pretty sound to it (I’m pronouncing it EE-v?n, is that right?). This is my favourite of your names. There’s also something appealingly symmetrical about the look of the “ava” in the middle of it. Others that remind me of this name (and that I prefer) are [name]Eva[/name] and [name]Arden[/name].
At first I though [name]Eavan[/name] was a tryndeigh invention, like [name]Even[/name] or [name]Everly[/name] or something, but apparently it’s an anglicized version of [name]Aoibheann[/name]. Hm. I like it a lot better than [name]Tierney[/name], which is a boy’s name and reminds me of tyranny. [name]Riley[/name] is nice; much better on a boy than a girl, even though the number of girl Rileys (and Rileighs and Rylees) way outnumber the boy ones.
[name]Eavan[/name] [name]Angelica[/name]
[name]Eavan[/name] [name]Helena[/name]
[name]Eavan[/name] [name]Camilla[/name]
[name]Eavan[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Eavan[/name] [name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Riley[/name] [name]Theodore[/name]
[name]Riley[/name] [name]Nathaniel[/name]
[name]Riley[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]
None of those names are really my taste.
