[name]Hi[/name] everyone. I had a really rough year, my husband and I have been trying to conceive and we have had two miscarriages. We are going in for IVF next year and I like to keep positive by talking about names. I also posted some names on the girls board.
I’d love some opinions on these names we’ve chosen. Which do you like/dislike… what kind of names you think we might also like. We don’t really like names that are overused.

Sorry to hear your having such a rough year. My heart goes out to you and your hubby. Below are my thoughts on your list.
[name]Rufus[/name] - my best friend had a dog named [name]Rufus[/name] so I’m not the best judge of this with such a strong link to a canine.
[name]Mitchell[/name] - nice, solid name.
[name]Bertrand[/name] - I can only hear this name in [name]German[/name] and it just feels awkward in [name]German[/name].
[name]Breccan[/name] - always feels a bit trendy to me. I’m not a fan of trendy.
[name]Charlton[/name] - I was just watching a [name]Charlton[/name] Heston film and am loving [name]Charlton[/name] right now. I love that it’s classic name but also unexpected and not too out there.
[name]Elliott[/name] - one of my favorites. Though I consider it fairly unisex.
[name]Emmett[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name].
[name]Fergus[/name] - makes me think of [name]Fergie[/name].
[name]Harvey[/name] - Used to make me think of a big white rabbit but with Suits out I can see it’s sauve appeal.
[name]Abraham[/name] - love the nn [name]Bram[/name]. I think [name]Abram[/name] might be a nice alternative as well. It’s a great classic name though.
[name]Rufus[/name]- Sorry, but I really dislike this, I can’t imagine a child with this name.
[name]Mitchell[/name]- Not bad, but I wouldn’t use it.

[name]Charlton[/name] - Too close to the word charleton for my tastes.
[name]Elliott[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name]. This is my absolute favorite name for a boy. It’s strong and handsome.
[name]Emmett[/name] - It’s okay. I’m kind of tired of [name]Em[/name] names, though.
[name]Fergus[/name] - Not my favorite. I think of [name]Clarissa[/name]'s little brother on [name]Clarissa[/name] Explains it All.
[name]Harvey[/name] - I like this a lot.
[name]Abraham[/name] - [name]Love[/name]. So many nn options–[name]Abe[/name], [name]Abel[/name], [name]Bram[/name]
[name]Rufus[/name] - Sounds like a dogs name [name]IMO[/name]. Not a fan, I think it sounds silly on a child older than 10.
[name]Mitchell[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] this, a lot. Very classic and handsome.
[name]Bertrand[/name] - Not my style at all, but it could be worse. It’s a fine name.
[name]Breccan[/name] - Nice! I like it.
[name]Charlton[/name] - I prefer [name]Charles[/name].
[name]Elliott[/name] - [name]One[/name] of my favorite boys name. [name]Love[/name], love, love [name]Elliott[/name].
[name]Emmett[/name] - Kind of boring to me, and reminds me of Twilight.
[name]Fergus[/name] - No. I dislike it a lot, not my style.
[name]Harvey[/name] - Unpleasant assocations, but the name it’s self is fine.
[name]Abraham[/name] - Very handsome, sophisticated name. I like it a lot as well as the nn [name]Bram[/name].
