Names!

Right now I will tell you all the baby names I currently love. I will put down all the girls and all the boys names and tell me what do you think. (I am a teen and a long way off having kids I just love names)!

Girls:

[name_f]Prudence[/name_f] [name_u]Shannen[/name_u]

[name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Holly[/name_f]

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]

[name_f]Paige[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

[name_f]Brenda[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f]

[name_u]Rene[/name_u] [name_f]Beth[/name_f]

[name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_f]Annalee[/name_f]

[name_f]Aimee[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]

[name_u]Shannen[/name_u] [name_f]Moira[/name_f]

[name_f]Carol[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]

[name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

[name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] [name_f]Susie[/name_f]

Boys:

[name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]

[name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]

[name_u]Riley[/name_u] [name_m]Paul[/name_m]

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m]

[name_m]Brandon[/name_m] [name_m]Jason[/name_m]

[name_m]Brodie[/name_m] [name_m]Bruce[/name_m]

[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] [name_m]Luke[/name_m]

[name_f]Carole[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] reminds me of the little girl in the Poltergeist movies, so it’s a big no for me. Those movies terrified me as a kid!

[name_f]Heather[/name_f] is my name (my MN is [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]), so I’m a bit biased. I think it’s a pretty, lovely name that is very under used these days. You have [name_f]Rose[/name_f] as a MN, but I’d use it as a first, personally. The other girls names I’m not thrilled with though, sorry!

The only boy name I like from your list is [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], but I prefer [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] as a first name. I like [name_u]Dylan[/name_u], but not enough that I’d want to use it. I know a little girl named [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] who goes by the nn. Dylie and she’s precious.

There are some names I do like up here ([name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f], [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]) but for the most part, half seem rather dated ([name_f]Brenda[/name_f], [name_u]Shannen[/name_u], [name_f]Carol[/name_f], [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]) and the others are just very cutesy, particularly when paired alliteratively ([name_f]Susie[/name_f], esp. when paired with [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f], [name_f]Annalee[/name_f], [name_m]Brodie[/name_m] & [name_m]Bruce[/name_m], etc.). Same goes for your boys’ names. [name_m]Brandon[/name_m] and [name_m]Jason[/name_m] both are stuck in the 70s. There’s also a lot of interesting rhythmic patterns here. [name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_f]Annalee[/name_f] is a tongue-twister, whereas [name_f]Paige[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is blunt and needs more flow.

Girls:

[name_f]Prudence[/name_f] [name_u]Shannen[/name_u]:I don’t mind [name_f]Prudence[/name_f], but I think most people will find it odd on a 21st century baby. [name_u]Shannon[/name_u] is dated in my opinion, so I hope it’s an honor names. If not, I suggest [name_f]Prudence[/name_f] [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f], or, maybe put [name_f]Prudence[/name_f] in the middle - [name_f]Rhiannon[/name_f] [name_f]Prudence[/name_f].

[name_u]Piper[/name_u] [name_f]Holly[/name_f]: Cute! [name_u]Piper[/name_u] is nice, and [name_f]Holly[/name_f] goes well with it.

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]: Flow is great with this combo. Neither name is a favorite of mine, but the combo is great!

[name_f]Paige[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]: This doesn’t flow at all because both are one syllable. I suggest [name_f]Paige[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Paige[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f].

[name_f]Brenda[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f]: Really dislike [name_f]Brenda[/name_f]. Dated and unattractive to me, sorry. [name_f]Maria[/name_f] makes a nice middle though. I suggest either [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f] or [name_f]Brynn[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f].

[name_u]Rene[/name_u] [name_f]Beth[/name_f]: I have never heard [name_u]Rene[/name_u], and my first thought is [name_f]Irene[/name_f] with the I chopped off. [name_f]Beth[/name_f] has never been my style. Also, same problem as [name_f]Paige[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - no flow! I suggest [name_u]Rene[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_u]Wren[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Irene[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], or [name_f]Irina[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f].

[name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_f]Annalee[/name_f]: [name_f]Winona[/name_f] is quirky cool, and the combo flows well enough. however, despite my secret affection for the sound of [name_f]Annalee[/name_f], it does seem made up, and can sound a lot like “anally”. I suggest [name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f], [name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f], or [name_f]Winona[/name_f] [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f].

[name_f]Aimee[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]: Pretty, but a little boring to me. [name_f]Aimee[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] would be a little more unique.

[name_u]Shannen[/name_u] [name_f]Moira[/name_f]: I still don’t like [name_u]Shannon[/name_u], but [name_f]Moira[/name_f] is neat. I suggest maybe [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Moira[/name_f]?

[name_f]Carol[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]: Comes across as very bland, so I suggest you use [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] as a less dated alternative to [name_f]Carol[/name_f], and [name_f]Analiese[/name_f] instead of filler middle name [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Analiese[/name_f] is very pretty!

[name_f]Heather[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]: Pretty, [name_f]Heather[/name_f] seems a little far gone, but it still sounds nice to me. I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as a middle name, it goes with everything.

[name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] [name_f]Susie[/name_f] : I adore [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f], but [name_f]Susie[/name_f] seems out of place and doesn’t flow well. If you still want the alliteration, how about [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] or [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] [name_f]Susannah[/name_f].

Boys:

[name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]: Two solid names in a nice combo. Well done!

[name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]: They seem mismatched, with [name_m]Harry[/name_m] more British classic and [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] American modern. [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m] would go together better, imo.

[name_u]Riley[/name_u] [name_m]Paul[/name_m]: I don’t like [name_m]Paul[/name_m] but I assume it’s maybe honoring someone. It’s a nice combo, [name_u]Riley[/name_u] is nice for a boy.

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] [name_m]Jeffrey[/name_m]: Flows well, two nice names (I especially like [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]) - i give it a thumbs up.

[name_m]Brandon[/name_m] [name_m]Jason[/name_m]: I don’t [name_m]Brandon[/name_m], seems dated. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Brady[/name_u] [name_m]Jason[/name_m], or [name_u]Brennan[/name_u] [name_u]Jace[/name_u]?

[name_m]Brodie[/name_m] [name_m]Bruce[/name_m]: this alliteration is too close, I don’t like it. [name_m]Brodie[/name_m] [name_u]Blake[/name_u], [name_m]Brodie[/name_m] [name_u]Blaze[/name_u]…

[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] [name_m]Luke[/name_m]: Like it, it’s a fine combo.
