I just found out an old acquaintance of mine is pregnant with a little girl. She is naming her “[name_f]Peach[/name_f]”.
What do you think of [name_f]Peach[/name_f]?
Ack, I personally just think it reminds me of a stripper or something… I kinda cringe thinking in my head about yelling “[name_f]Peach[/name_f]” on the playground or thinking about a future.
I’m not sure about the middle but I believe her full name will be “[name_f]Peach[/name_f] K1dd” (replace 1 with I)
Me too. Hate names like [name_f]Peach[/name_f], [name_f]Princess[/name_f], [name_f]Star[/name_f], and every other name that should be a family nickname.
[name_f]Peach[/name_f] reminds me a lot of [name_f]Peaches[/name_f] Geldof, [name_m]Bob[/name_m] Geldofs daughter. Basically the whole world makes fun of her name. But probably not as bad as [name_f]Gwyneth[/name_f] Paltrows daughter [name_f]Apple[/name_f].
What is it these days with fruit names?
Quite honestly, [name_f]Peaches[/name_f] is my guilty pleasure name. Would I ever use it? That answer is a resounding no as she will probably never be taken seriously in her life.
I was thinking of using [name_f]Peaches[/name_f] or [name_f]Posy[/name_f] as a nickname for a name beginning with P though.
[name_f]Peach[/name_f]/[name_f]Peaches[/name_f] always seems like a posh British name to me. I can easily picture it on a little English girl, but i can’t picture it on an American girl.
I have to be honest, I kind of like it. Then again, I kind of liked [name_f]Apple[/name_f]. I would think of a sweet, delicate little girl. But only as a nickname. It doesn’t matter what her name is anyways, I’d call her peaches
Naming a girl [name_f]Peach[/name_f] is ridiculous (the sexual connotations in the word completely disqualifies it as usable in my opinion). Naming her [name_f]Peach[/name_f] Kid is really downright cruel. The name isn’t cool even without the surname. I’m hope she reconsiders her choice.
Ugh, [name_f]Peach[/name_f] is a bit too much. [name_f]Peaches[/name_f] is not that bad compared to [name_f]Peach[/name_f] which sounds like a boy name to me besides being actual food.
I think [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] would be a really cute way to get to the nickname [name_f]Peach[/name_f] ([name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_f]Peach[/name_f] –> [name_f]Peach[/name_f]).
I have to be honest. It is not a name I think when she gets to be a teenager she would want to have. [name_m]How[/name_m] about using it as a middle name if you really like it.
The archaic slang is annoying, but current Freudian slang is just horrendous. UrbanDictionary.com if you ever want to be informed of every disgusting innuendo that exists. Yikes.
I hope it’s a “bump name joke.” Like my mom’s friend, who years ago told everyone that she was naming her baby “[name_f]Polly[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f]” just because she was so sick of being harassed about the name.
I actually kind of like [name_f]Peach[/name_f]. [name_m]How[/name_m] is it different from [name_f]Olive[/name_f] or [name_f]Apple[/name_f]? The ‘stripper name’ thing doesn’t suffice since strippers often have normal names like [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] or [name_u]Madison[/name_u]. People can put anything on UrbanDictionary so take those definitions with a grain of salt. Also, lots of normal names have sexual innuendo, including [name_f]Georgia[/name_f].
I don’t know any strippers. So what they’re actually named and what the stereotype is must be different.
It’s not my child, and I wouldn’t even tell the woman that I don’t like her choice. I just wanted others input. I wouldn’t use [name_f]Olive[/name_f] or [name_f]Apple[/name_f] or any other food name. Rigatoni anyone? Quinoa! [name_f]Hope[/name_f] hip! Kidding, to each their own! I have no problem with it, just wouldn’t want it to be my name etc.
