I just had my third baby and it’s a girl. We didn’t know the gender till birth, so we had names prepared for both gender.
I don’t know if it’s because she is our third girl, but I feel like all the name that we choose are not that wow. I was kind of hoping it will be a boy so I didn’t have to pick an other girl name!
Our oldest are named [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] which I love.
I am of course seeking suggestions, but also wondering if it’s a thing : did you fall less in love with your kids names the more you have ? I feel bad giving my baby a name that I not obsessed with like I was with my other girls.
Here are the names of our list :
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] (it’s our favourite, but I’m not in love, love)
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
We are a [name_f]French[/name_f] and [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking family so the name has to work in both language and country!
I have definitely known larger families to get increasingly less excited about the naming process and less awestruck with the name they go for. I think it’s natural, you’ve used names you adore and agree on and meet your criteria already, and it’s actually quite difficult to keep hitting on that magical formula.
But – your daughter’s names are fabulous, your list is amazing! I’m sure that the berries can assist with making sure you get the name you are most excited about and content with, third time around
Is baby 3 a…
[name_f]Zara[/name_f]
[name_f]Ingrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Seren[/name_f]
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Alma[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Apolline[/name_f]
[name_f]Soline[/name_f]
[name_f]Nolana[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is sweet. If it were up to me, I think [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] goes a little better with [name_f]Claire[/name_f] & [name_f]Eloise[/name_f].
I do think there’s something to it, especially if you’ve been hanging onto a name for awhile. It can dull a little. [name_f]My[/name_f] third is a boy, and we saved his name for the better part of a decade, knowing it would always be the name we’d use for a second boy. Not the first boy. I always loved it, but it did seem like maybe it was a little less interesting than our first son’s name. But! After a little bit of use and my sweet [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] growing into his name, I adore it anew. It shined up again very quickly.
Still. If you’re looking for new ideas for your darling girl:
Congratulations on the arrival of your third baby girl!
Your list is magnificent!
I love [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f]! They’re sweet, colorful, elegant and unexpected. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] has a wonderful meaning and it sounds amazing with your oldest daughters’ names. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is happy, classic and stunning.
[name_f]My[/name_f] first thoughts were [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], but any mix of names from your list will be gorgeous. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] would be stunning!
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite from your list is [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] sound beautiful together but [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is also cute.
I think naming in general is really challenging and I can imagine naming multiple girls would be hard. As a result I completely understand why you’re finding naming your third baby tricky. Also you’ve got tons of postpartum hormones running through your system which would make the naming process even more challenging. Still I just want to remind you that you have time so don’t feel any pressure you will find that perfect choice.
Looking at your list I absolutely love [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
For me [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is absolutely stunning such a sweet, bright, charming cottagecore choice that feels ever so timeless with Clair3 and Elois3. [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is a beautiful name really gorgeous she just appeals to me so much! [name_f]My[/name_f] second favourite is [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] she’s a spunky floral choice that I think feels fun, a little unexpected with your girls. So those are my favourite but I am a sucker for nature names.
Looking at your favourite [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] I think she’s a great choice. [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is classic, elegant, bright and sparkly with a pan European feel. I think [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] works very well with Clair3 & Elois3 they are all familiar classics with that ‘e’ ending which makes them feel very stylistically in keeping with each other. Completely understand why this name is so high on your list. I also think [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is a timeless choice, with a lovely meaning and has that e ending.
No wonder you’re struggling you’ve got a lovely list so it must be hard to narrow it down!
You’ve had lots of lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] are beautiful sister names!
I love your list (my favorite is Zoe), but I also love:
[name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Maren[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Manon[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Beverly[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
Congratulations on you newest blessing! [name_m]Even[/name_m] if you end up picking a name that doesn’t sparkle right away like your older girls’ names, it will become more & more special as you begin to associate it with your daughter I have personal favorites from your list, but you’ve already said [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is your favorite so I’ll just offer a few other ideas just in case (Zoe is a precious pick by the way).

Congratulations on your newest addition. I am sure many parents find it increasingly difficult to choose a name they love the more their family expands. They know more children, they’ve already used the names they loved or most agreed on, and their old favourites may not sound fresh anymore.
But there isn’t one right way to name a child. Many parents have to compromise on every name they use from their first child to their last. They may have conflicting cultural and family considerations, they may like very different styles, they may take turns naming each child and so on. The thing to do is accept that this time is different, and make the best decision you can for the situation you’re in.
Any of the names on your list would be a great choice. You may also like:
I would lean into the name you both enjoy best and give yourself some grace for feeling less excitement this time. Your daughter will make you more fond of the name as it becomes her.
If you want something dainty and girly I would go with [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]. If you want something with a more vintage feel I would go with [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. If you want something that feels more modern I’d choose [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. And if you want something more trendy I would do [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
I think it’s 100% okay that you feel differently with this baby’s name than you did your other girls. You might’ve never thought you’d have 3 girls and accepted that you’d use the names you love most for your first 2, and the others you’ve loved have just sort of shifted with time
Your girls names are gorgeous! We are in the same configuration and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] was also my favorite for a second girl without being absolutely sure it was the one. We ended up having a boy though.
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] would be so perfect!
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Irene[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Norah[/name_f]
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f]
[name_f]Suzanne[/name_f]
[name_f]Juliette[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
You have several beautiful options here. Congratulations on your new babe!
I’ll add my experience with naming multiple kids. For my boys, every name was exciting, but for my youngest girl, I didn’t love her name. I knew objectively that it was good (and didn’t have any others I liked better); I just couldn’t really imagine it on my own daughter. But now, seven months later, it’s 100% her name. Some of that is other people liking it and saying so. Some of it is it becoming her name as we use it all the time.
So I wouldn’t worry that this third name doesn’t sparkle right now. I think it’ll get there!
Congratulations! [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] are so perfect together! I think stylistically [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is the best match, but Dahila is also so unique and pretty
