Naming Baby Girl #5!

Hello all!

My husband and I are currently expecting our 5th daughter and are completely stumped with names. Our 4 older girls are [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and our surname starts with an ‘S’ and is 2 syllables.

Names we like for #5 are -
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Lola[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Gigi[/name_f]
[name_u]Scout[/name_u]

We like them all but just can’t decide which one fits best and would love some advice! Any other name suggestions welcome!!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] your girls names!!

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f] are my favourites from your list, followed by [name_u]Scout[/name_u] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]

I’ll suggest [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]

with your kids I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] the best

What a cool sibset!
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] or [name_f]Eve[/name_f] would be a perfect fit!

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] are my favorites for you. Both are nicely compatible without being too close to any of the sister names.

I’d pick [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] because I think it fits well with [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and the rest of your daughter’s names

I like them all, but my favorite is [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]. Seriously, though, they’re all great names.

I think [name_f]Lola[/name_f] goes best with your girls names

All your girls have “real name” names, so I would stick with that theme. They all have different beginning and ending sounds, if you want to continue in that vein.
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] are a bit too nick-namey and they all end in the -ee sound like [name_f]Polly[/name_f].
[name_u]Scout[/name_u] is too trendy for your tribe.
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] just seems to cut the melody short. [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Jemima[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f].
[name_f]Lola[/name_f] could work, but [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and [name_f]Lola[/name_f] are similar sounding.

I like the sound of [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] and [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], but [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] both end in the -ee sound.

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Jemima[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is lovely, espescially if her nickname is [name_f]ViVi[/name_f]!

What lovely names! I’m especially loving sweet, sparky yet grounded [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] with your set.

A few more ideas:

[name_f]Flora[/name_f]/[name_f]Florence[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]/[name_f]Edie[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]/[name_f]Nell[/name_f]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]/[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_f]Maren[/name_f]/[name_f]Merryn[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Thea[/name_f]

I think a elegant, classic and timeless name would be perfect for you new baby! [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] are my favorite options from your list. I love both names. They’re sweet, adorable and very traditional. My third favorite name is [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. I think it sounds and it looks amazing next to your oldest daughter’s names.
I also like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] for you. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is a beautiful name but I would avoid it because só far none of your children share first name initials. However, if that’s not important to you, please use [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]! It is a great name.

My personal favourite from your list would be [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]. If having two girls with the same initial doesn’t bother you at all, then I think [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] would word really well (sound-wise the double P’s aren’t at all a big deal as they have very different sounds, though they do both end with the same sound).

I feel like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is a perfect fit stylistically and melodically with sisters [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] & [name_f]Polly[/name_f] as they all have individual initials, and ending letters/sounds, so ultimately, I think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] would get my vote. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] would make for a gorgeous combo, if middles you haven’t already finalised.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - in my opinion, this is the best option! I think it’s a stunning name, with cute nicknames options, and that it flows well with your girls’ names.

[name_f]Lola[/name_f] - this could work, and it’s a pretty name.

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] - pretty but doesn’t work as well as the others.

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] - I really love this name and it’s very high on my long list, but I do prefer [name_f]Violet[/name_f] with you other daughters’ names. However, I think it’s stunning.

[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] - very cute!

[name_f]Eve[/name_f] - it seems very short compared to the other names, but I do like it, it’s gorgeous.

[name_f]Gigi[/name_f] - it seems too nicknamey, especially compared to the other names.

[name_u]Scout[/name_u] - I really like this name, but it doesn’t really match the style of your other names. If that doesn’t bother you, go for it, I love it!

I think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] are the best with your family, for the reasons that [name_f]Susette[/name_f] gave. My favourite is definitely [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
Other ideas that I think would work:
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f]
[name_u]Marion[/name_u]
[name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_f]Bronwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]
[name_f]Bethan[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]

Your girls names are so sweet and feel very British to me!

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - I agree that I love this most. Length wise and vibe-wise, it fits really well with the other names and it’s super pretty

[name_f]Lola[/name_f] - also a strong choice, imo

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] - fits well with the cutesy, old-fashioned-But-trendy-again feel of many of your other daughter’s names

[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] - not a huge fan of this personally, but it fits reasonably well with the others if you don’t mind repeating a first initial

[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] - cutesy, but you’re repeating an ending again

[name_f]Eve[/name_f] - works fine, imo

[name_f]Gigi[/name_f] - I agree, it’s too nickname-y

[name_u]Scout[/name_u] - It’s cute, but the style doesn’t match with your other kids’ names

These are only my opinions of what fits well into the sibset, but obviously you have other factors that are important, too! Best of luck!

I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] from your list

Thank you everyone for your help!

We welcomed our daughter, [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f], earlier this month

[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] would be my choices with your other daughters’ names.
