Naming Help Please

Down to final five with clock ticking:

[name_m]Fielding[/name_m]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] / [name_m]Fritz[/name_m]
[name_u]Barrett[/name_u]
[name_m]Torin[/name_m] / [name_m]Tor[/name_m]
[/name_m]Finn[/name_m] - whoops forgot this from original post

Middle name will be [name_u]James[/name_u].

Please help us out!

Thanks!

I love [name_m]Fielding[/name_m] and [name_m]Thorin[/name_m] but I don’t think [name_m]Fielding[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] flows as nicely as the others.

I would pick [name_m]Thorin[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] or [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m].

***[name_m]Finn[/name_m] is a gorgeous name too. But I would agreed [name_m]Finley[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] flows better. So to update I would chose [name_m]Thorin[/name_m] or [name_m]Finley[/name_m].

[name_m]Torin[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]. I think this is amazing.

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] doesn’t flow as well, but the names complement each other nicely. And if you love it the flow isn’t a big deal.

[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] probably has the best flow of them all, but I prefer [name_m]Torin[/name_m] because it’s more unusual. (Though I do know someone called [name_m]Torin[/name_m] and no one called [name_m]Frederick[/name_m]!)

I actually really like [name_m]Fielding[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]. Probably my second favourite. It sounds very . . . upper-class, but with a friendly country-boy-in-green-tweed-and-scuffed-brogues feel about it.

I’m not so keen on [name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]. Probably because I don’t like [name_u]Barrett[/name_u]!

I think I would go with [name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is nice as well.

I want to like [name_m]Fielding[/name_m], but there’s just something about it I can’t get into. [name_m]Torin[/name_m] reminds me too much of a fantasy novel name. I like those, but not typically for real children. [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is cute, but doesn’t flow well with [name_u]James[/name_u]. It’s too short, I think. [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] nn [name_u]Finn[/name_u] would work.

My personal favorites are [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Torin[/name_m], and [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. Although [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds slightly abrupt to me. You might like [name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u].

Thank you so much for the suggestions. Still stumped but this makes me feel slightly better that we are having difficulty as everyone has liked at least one of the names…

If anyone else has any more feedback please let us know!

I like [name_m]Torin[/name_m], [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] best.

I would go with [name_u]Finn[/name_u], but maybe use a longer form ([name_u]Finley[/name_u] or [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m]).

I like [name_m]Torin[/name_m], so unique! [name_m]Torin[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is awesome.

Hmmm…

[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] has a clean-cut and classic feel, and I like this option quite a bit. I like [name_m]Fritz[/name_m] as a nn for the longer [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], and just [name_m]Fritz[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] on its own has an entirely different ring to it… very snappy and cool.

[name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] is a solid, strong sounding name. Also a nice choice.

[name_u]Finn[/name_u] I don’t like with [name_u]James[/name_u] because of the flow, but as others have suggested [name_u]Finn[/name_u] as a nn for [name_u]Finley[/name_u] or other longer [name_m]Fin[/name_m]-name works great

[name_m]Torin[/name_m] and [name_m]Fielding[/name_m] are both unfamiliar choices to me (not sure where you are from and if these names are more common there). I like [name_m]Torin[/name_m] somewhat - it feels unusual yet strong. But I personally am not a big fan of [name_m]Fielding[/name_m] because it sounds more like a verb to me than a name (might especially depend on your last name whether it sounds right). I like all the other options more than [name_m]Torin[/name_m] and [name_m]Fielding[/name_m] because I personally prefer names that are a little more familiar, however if you’re looking for something more unique then [name_m]Torin[/name_m] and [name_m]Fielding[/name_m] are the best picks from your list!

This thread is a week old, but I stumbled upon it and could not resist commenting. I absolutely love both [name_m]Torin[/name_m] and [name_m]Fielding[/name_m]! They are by far my favourites from your list! Both very strong, uncommon and handsome names. The middle name [name_u]James[/name_u] grounds them wonderfully.
I maybe just slightly prefer [name_m]Torin[/name_m] for you. It sounds just a little better with [name_u]James[/name_u], and it has the nickname [name_m]Tor[/name_m] which you also love.
All the best deciding!

I love [name_m]Fielding[/name_m] and [name_m]Torin[/name_m]! I think both [name_m]Fielding[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Torin[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] are both super handsome. I can’t pick.

I think [name_m]Torin[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is wonderful.
