naming in a perfect world.

What would you name your child if anything you would choose would be perfect? Pretend it doesn’t matter that its so popular, or too crazy, or has an unfortuate nickname, or might not age well, or won’t look good on a resume, or has a negative connotation, or might cause teasing, or will cause your family to cringe, etc., etc.,etc.
If you have children, is it your child’s name?

For me:
Girl- [name]Calista[/name]. In the “real world” I worry about the nn [name]Callie[/name], the immediate though of [name]Calista[/name] Flockheart, and the maybe-too-princessyness of it.
Boy- Colchis, nn [name]Cole[/name]. First off, its not really a name, but I think it would work. Also, I’m not sure if it would go over well on the playground

Great thread!

[name]Sunny[/name] [name]Louisiana[/name]: I love this, it’s so cheery, light, fun, and quirky but doesn’t work in real life.
[name]Poppy[/name] [name]Tallulah[/name] [name]Mae[/name]: I love these ooey gooey sweet names but I’d never name my girl this.
[name]Juniper[/name] [name]Honey[/name] [name]Louise[/name]: [name]Juniper[/name] nn [name]June[/name] is so spunky.
[name]Serendipity[/name] [name]Prudence[/name] [name]Jane[/name]: [name]Serendipity[/name], I know.
[name]Daisy[/name] [name]Delilah[/name] [name]Dot[/name]: Alliteration is so fun.
[name]Zinnia[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Temperance[/name]: [name]Love[/name] the quirky, buzzing Z sounds.

Daisy Delilah Dot: Alliteration is so fun.

Lol that’s great- I think I’m changing my name from Daisy451 to Daisydelilahdot now
Mine would be:
[name]Juno[/name]- Awesome name. But seriously, totally crazy to actually use.
[name]Chelsea[/name]- so dated, so not very sophisticated anymore, so not a name I would use, but for some reason I really like it.
