[name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] gets my vote! I think it goes perfectly with your kids lovely names.

[name_u]River[/name_u] has not “gone girl” nor was it ever a boy’s name. It has always been unisex. So tired of these outdated attitudes.

I actually love your own ‘burnt-out’ suggestion of [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m]!
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] and [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] [name_u]Beau[/name_u] would be amazing.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I like [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] [name_u]Grady[/name_u]! Sounds great with your kids names!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Your kids’ names are darling!

Here are my thoughts for #3:

[name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] “[name_m]Hawk[/name_m]”-This normally wouldn’t be my style, but the nn that barely makes sense thing is right up my alley! It’s just sort of a strong imagery; maybe a lot to live up to.

[name_u]Asa[/name_u] “[name_m]Ace[/name_m]”-I love it! Such a great name. It sounds like a baseball player or a cool artist. [name_u]Asa[/name_u] is very down to earth. It’s simple yet unique, & does have a bit of a Southern feel. I like [name_m]Ace[/name_m] too. [name_m]Ace[/name_m] can be a nn for most any ‘A’ name in my opinion.

[name_u]Grady[/name_u] “[name_u]Gray[/name_u]”-I think that [name_u]Grady[/name_u] is kind of cute. I generally try to avoid repeating initials, but maybe it’s not a deal breaker for you. It’s a little more trendy sounding, just because it’s so close to [name_u]Brady[/name_u] & [name_u]Brady[/name_u]. [name_u]Grady[/name_u] is way better for some reason, but not my favorite from your list.

[name_u]Asa[/name_u] [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] or [name_u]Asa[/name_u] [name_u]River[/name_u] get my vote.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

I absolutely love [name_u]Grady[/name_u]!
[name_u]Grady[/name_u] Townes

Otherwise [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] is also lovely

I like [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] (though I’m not as keen on [name_m]Hawk[/name_m]) and [name_u]Asa[/name_u], and think [name_u]Beau[/name_u] makes for a great middle. [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] & [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] sound particularly great as a brother-duo.

I love [name_u]Grady[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]

I am currently considering naming my son [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] (possibly spelled [name_m]Hawthorn[/name_m], not sure yet) so I obviously very much like that name. I like that there are other nickname possibilities (e.g. [name_m]Thor[/name_m]) and although it is unusual to be used as a name, it feels familiar.

[name_u]Asa[/name_u] is a very different name when contrasted with [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] - I think of [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] (and especially the nickname [name_m]Hawk[/name_m]) as somewhat masculine and almost tough - where as [name_u]Asa[/name_u] is very soft and more gender-neutral in my mind. But that is just me. Both are lovely for different reasons.

Of the three, I like [name_u]Grady[/name_u] the least personally.

Good luck

I love [name_u]Grady[/name_u]! I would pick [name_u]Grady[/name_u] Townes from your options.

My intention is never to offend. I had looked up the SSA data and see it’s rising 2x as fast for girls vs boys. I do agree it has a soft sound and I actually love it for both, but with this child I am hoping to not pick a unisex name.

Before reading the whole post, my first thought was [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m]! I think it instantly makes me think literary and whimsical/nature. I also think it goes really well with your other kids names!

[name_u]Grady[/name_u] is also really cool! I quite like it.

The suggestion [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] [name_u]Grady[/name_u] is really nice, imo. Otherwise I’d say [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] or [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] Townes.

I had to read over your response twice because I loved your insight so much! Thank you!

I agree on [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m], which is actually why I’ve been holding back a bit from using it - though my hubby and daughter love it most. I wonder if it’s too…grand? I don’t know! I love the sound but just do think over it and am torn. I’ll have to see how I feel once I meet him. Maybe a middle is safer somehow…while still allowing me to use it.

The double initial thing is not ideal for me, but also not a deal breaker per say. I always remind myself that the kids will have their own lives and will not always be grouped together and this will matter less and less as they age. That being said, [name_u]Grady[/name_u] is sort of a vehicle to get to [name_u]Gray[/name_u] so I don’t have my heart set on it anyhow!

I think I’m with you and [name_u]Asa[/name_u] [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] feels wonderful if my hubby comes around to using [name_u]Asa[/name_u] as a 1st.

I feel like [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] fits in too - especially with the literary tie. I agree with you and like [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] as well!!

Oh my goodness I gasped when I saw your signature - we had [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] [name_m]Cove[/name_m] picked out as a top a couple months back!! Too funny! Similar styles for sure.
