Naming my baby

Last year I went through a round of IVF that resulted in a pregnancy that I ended up losing. I shared a post about on here about it and several of you were supportive, which I appreciated. It was a difficult experience, but I’m over the moon thrilled to be pregnant again! I’m 3 months so I’m starting to feel more relaxed. It’s sinking in that I may actual have a baby in 6 months!

We don’t know the gender yet, but here is my top girls list. Last name similar to Morgan.

Josephine Lily Parris - Joseph and Parris are both family names.
Josephine Parris - Is it better without Lily?
Esme Rose Guinevere - I love so much about this name! Esme is so elegant but doesn’t feel stuffy to me. I also love how Guinevere is a bit unexpected (outside of Nameberry anyway) and could give me the option of Evie as a nn.
Rosemary Elizabeth - This name feels so classic and clean to me! I just love it.
Elodie Anne Juniper
Elodie June Rosemary

I like a combination with a long frilly name paired with a short name. I’m open to new suggestions, but which do you like the best?

That is exciting news for you, congratulations!

I’m voting for [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_m]Parris[/name_m], because I do love [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], and I love that she would have 2 family names.

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] (Lily) [name_m]Parris[/name_m] is my favorite! The only reason I’d lean slightly towards [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_m]Parris[/name_m] is flow; [name_f]Lily[/name_f] seems to make the name sound like 2 separate people— [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] & [name_m]Parris[/name_m] [name_f]Morgan[/name_f]. That could just be me, though; your names are gorgeous!! [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is also divine :white_heart:

[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts:

I like [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_m]Parris[/name_m] better than [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_m]Parris[/name_m]. [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Morgan[/name_f] sounds good together.

[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is a beautiful name. [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Morgan[/name_f] doesn’t flow the best with the two m’s next to each other though.

[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would also be good. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Morgan[/name_f] sounds good together.

[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Juniper[/name_f] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]June[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] are both good. I personally prefer [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]June[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Morgan[/name_f] sounds great together, I think I like this option the best with your last name.

Congratulations! I hope everything goes well and you have a serene pregnancy.

Your list is gorgeous! [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_m]Parris[/name_m] is a wonderful name. Absolutely adorable! The fact that [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_m]Parris[/name_m] are family names, it adds more sparkle. I think [name_f]Lily[/name_f] flows well and the three names together sound more enchanting.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] would be my second choice! Very sweet and romantic. It sounds like a fairytale name.
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a beautiful timeless choice! I adore it. Very elegant, gentle and graceful.
For [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], I think [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Juniper[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]June[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f]. I prefer the names in the second combo, though. In this case, what about [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]June[/name_f]?

[name_f]Esme[/name_f] is my absolute favourite first name. It is so elegant and sophisticated. I love [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] but I think [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] even flows nicer! [name_f]My[/name_f] second choice would be [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_m]Parris[/name_m] and I like it with the three names.

[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts on your names

[name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_m]Parris[/name_m] ~ [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is so classic such a beautiful name and incredibly elegant timeless choice. I love [name_f]Lily[/name_f]! [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is beautiful especially osier with [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]. Finally [name_m]Parris[/name_m] adds some sparkly magic. I love [name_f]Lily[/name_f] being in this combination!

[name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] ~ stunning! [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is beautiful completely agree with everything you’ve said she’s elegant but the opposite off stuffy. Very pretty. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a favourite of mine! I love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] she’s beautiful and just so magical sandwiched between [name_f]Esme[/name_f] + [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]. Finally [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is just stunning!

[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] ~ I love [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] she’s warm, nostalgic, has this wind swept pebbled beach feel of this name and I love roses, I love the sea this name has both associations so is a win. I adore [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] paired with [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] so timeless and warm.

[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Juniper[/name_f] ~ [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is lovely she’s elegant, sweet and has a lovely European flair. Very romantic. [name_f]Anne[/name_f] is a classic choice and I like [name_f]Juniper[/name_f] at the end however with such a strong list this isn’t my favourite.

[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]June[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] ~ of course [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] is beautiful. [name_f]June[/name_f] is such a sweet summery name and I love [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] but the flow is a little off I prefer [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]June[/name_f].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps

Thank you everyone for the responses so far. I truly consider everything said about the potential name of my baby. To clarify about [name_m]Parris[/name_m], it is a family surname that has been used as a middle name for a few of my relatives. We all love it very much. Having said that, should I go with the traditional spelling of [name_f]Paris[/name_f]? [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_f]Paris[/name_f]?

Congratulations! I’m so happy your pregnancy is progressing smoothly. We had my son from IUI and it was definitely anxiety inducing going through so many fertility treatments.

I relaly like [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]! It has a great flow to it and seems like you have the most positive things to say about that one!

I especially love [name_f]Esme[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], and Joesphine [name_f]Lily[/name_f] [name_m]Parris[/name_m], but then [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is stunning too and I adore the name [name_f]Elodie[/name_f].

Congrats on your pregnancy and all the best for a restful and happy second and third trimester!

You have beautiful names on the list!

Josephine Lily Paris is so smart and Euro/modern royalty sounding! But I’d choose only if your last name isn’t so similar to Morgan that the S from Paris/Pariss drags into Morgan to make it a “smorgasbord” sound. I actually think I prefer Josephine Paris Lily. I would probably use one “r” unless that took away the connection to much - do you want her to say when people ask why it’s “Parris” that it’s a family last name or do you want her to say that it’s a nod to a family last name? I also like Josephine Lily Rose.

Esme Rose Guinevere - is so charming and fairytale sweet - but also very approachable. My only concern would be if it’s hard to say Esme “Morgan”?

Rosemary Elizabeth - this is very elegant and tailored I agree and gives Romy as a possibly nn. I would consider first changing Elizabeth to Elisabeth (unless the first is a family spelling) just to give it a softer, Euro feel. More important, similar to above, worth asking whether Rosemary plus “Morgan” is easy say as that’ll be what is used 99% of the time. I’m finding it slightly hard to say but obviously I don’t know how close Morgan is to your last name.

Elodie - this name sounds fab with Morgan. I think Elodie and Josephine seem to go best with your last name. I would choose either Elodie Anne Juniper, Elodie Rosemary June or Elodie Anne Rosemary as the combinations.

So if it were Morgan, I would choose Josephine (first choice) or Elodie - but with all the other qualifications above. I would probably choose Josephine anyway because she’s a long term love of mine, but I like the sweet pep of Elodie and the breezy swing of Esme. I like Rosemary but prefer Rose and Mary separately.

Hope this helps! :blossom:
