So, I’m a 19-year-old college student who has been going by a chosen name of [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] since I was 15 or 16 and I don’t know if it’s too short of a first and middle name or if [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] should be my first name with another middle name. I need some help, thanks guys.
I think it works as a first and middle. When you introduce yourself are you [name_u]Remy[/name_u] most of the time or [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]? What do your friends call you?
Usually just [name_u]Remy[/name_u].
[name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is fine!
It’s honestly down to personal preference. If you are the type that likes short names, then I would say go for it, but if you don’t mind having a longer name then I would probably go with that. I personally feel like longer names withstand time and suit an adult more than short frilly names like [name_f]Lily[/name_f] or [name_u]Remy[/name_u], but that’s just me. All in all, there’s nothing wrong with [name_u]Remy[/name_u], I would use it if this is what you’ve always gone by and STILL like, but for some reason I get a feeling from your post that you are second guessing it and might want something longer, so maybe move it to the middle or find a name that can make it a nickname?
