Naming of Earls and Dukes

[name]Hi[/name],

I’m currently writing a story and I need a title for a [name]Duke[/name] and his heir, a [name]Earl[/name]. I’m currently using:

[ul]

[/ul]

But I need fictional titles for these. The story is set in [name]England[/name] and currently is based on these two areas. Please help me.

Gutted no comments or help in here :frowning:

I don’t really understand what you’re asking for. Do you actually want different titles instead of Essex and Chelmsford? I actually think you’d be all right with Essex as the dukedom of Essex doesn’t exist.

Here are some Essex place names:
Witham
Mersea
Wickford
Harwich
Hutton
Ingatestone

Made up place names (I think!)
Hawsham
Crawford
Buckberry
Appleford
Larchbury
Wychford
Broadwell
Radstock
Medlock

Or you could look through ‘Essex’ surnames and use one of them: http://surname.sofeminine.co.uk/w/surnames/433-essex/most-common-surnames.html

Hawsham
[name_m]Crawford[/name_m]
Buckberry
Appleford
Larchbury
Wychford
Broadwell
Radstock
Medlock

This list actually helps me with something else.

Marvelous… but you didn’t answer CandP’s question. We can’t help unless you clarify the problem.
