[name_u]Love[/name_u], love, love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]! It’s a great name and I think it goes perfectly with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] too. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] gets my vote, but [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]'s a great name as well. I went to school with a [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] and the name suited her perfectly.
Thank you so much for your vote and input! Now, I’m super curious to know what your friend, [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], looked like haha!
I know [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is winning but honestly I just loooove [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]!
First of all its much rarer than [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] has no nicknames other than Cici and [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] which sound quite childish to me, whereas [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] has [name_f]Gem[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Em[/name_f] (or [name_f]Emmie[/name_f] when shes young)
I also think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] wouldnt age up as well as [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] would
Hmm. Well, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] definitely goes with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] much better than [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] does, but [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] sounds much fresher and less “oh it’s another ~insertpopularname~”. Dilemma! But I want to vote for [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] anyway.
I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. I also love the idea of siblings [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], [name_f]Lulu[/name_f] and [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]), if you end up having a [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] in the future. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is beautiful, sweet, spunky, and charming.
I far prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] was very popular in the 1980s and 1990’s where I live so I find it extremely dated. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] would be absolutely stunning as siblings
I love both of these names, but have voted for [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
Can’t go wrong with either one. I prefer [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], I think it’s a name that ages more gracefully, but is still youthful and lively on a baby or little girl.
I love both names, but [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is the winner for me! It was on my short list for a long time, due to it’s sweet and simple Southern charm. It also goes well with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], in my opinion. You can’t go wrong with either, though.
Definitely [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], especially if you’re in the US or [name_f]Canada[/name_f]. I know it’s considered dated in some other parts of the world, but I really love the simple, upbeat feel of it! Since I’m lucky enough to live somewhere it isn’t dated, it just makes me think of famous bearers like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] Arterton and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_m]Jones[/name_m], which adds up to an elegant, artistic vibe.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is also nice, but starting to feel a bit overused [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. I think both [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] go very well with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] (and with each other!) so you really can’t go wrong in terms of potential future sibsets.
Both are lovely. I voted [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] simply because I couldn’t bring myself to use a super popular name.
Thank you all for your input! I see lots of votes for [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] in the comments. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] has been a favorite of ours for a long time now, but [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is a newer favorite and I just love it.
Yes, I do think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] make a better sibset, but [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] works with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], too. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] as sisters is also sweet. Such a hard decision! Good thing we still have 5 months to decide.
I agree that [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] would make such an adorable sibling set ! (I still prefer [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] though )
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is simple adorable! I love it!
both [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] are lovely names, but I prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] myself.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is gorgeous, it’s wonderfully timeless, sounds youthful but mature and will age nicely.
I do like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] but for me it’s a bit too close to [name_f]Jen[/name_f], [name_f]Jenna[/name_f], [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], etc. which is why it has a slighty dated vibe to it.
I absolutely love both [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]. You have excellent taste in names.
I think you should name her [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]! [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] goes very well with [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], but [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is very pretty too. In my opinion, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is more of a cutesy name but it will suit her as she grows up. [name_u]Love[/name_u] your name choices:)
