[name]Natalie[/name] as a way to get to [name]Nellie[/name] is ingenious! [name]Nellie[/name] is great. So is [name]Nora[/name], actually, and I don’t even mind them together if the triplets were two girls and a boy (so one girl wouldn’t be left out) - [name]Nellie[/name] and [name]Nora[/name]. If you’re not sure about the nickname [name]Nora[/name], [name]Elinor[/name] could also go to [name]Linny[/name].
I personal would be put off [name]Emilia[/name] by the massive popularity of [name]Emily[/name], [name]Emma[/name] and even [name]Amelia[/name], especially with the nickname [name]Emmy[/name] … However, if that doesn’t bother you, it is still a beautiful name. You might also like [name]Camellia[/name] or [name]Camille[/name]/a, which are similar but not so close to [name]Emma[/name] et cetera.
I don’t think [name]Libby[/name] is totally unusable with [name]Abby[/name], especially if the triplets were all girls as it wouldn’t be so obvious. It’s not ideal, but it’s also not enough of a problem to rule out [name]Libby[/name] if it were your stand out favourite.
I am the right generation to automatically mentally follow [name]Sabrina[/name] with ‘the Teenage Witch’, but the show is long over and I haven’t even seen them showing repeats (at least not here - I’m in [name]Britain[/name]) for years, so by the time your daughter is in school I doubt the connection will still be made. If you are worred, [name]Serena[/name] has a very similar sound and a lovely meaning. There is also [name]Marina[/name].
[name]Zachary[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] are both so handsome! I’d hesitate to use them together because of the double Y endings, unfortunately, but that might not bother you. Also, if you want to get to [name]Harry[/name] then to be honest, I wouldn’t bother going through [name]Henry[/name]. They are really two seperate names now, despite [name]Harry[/name]'s origin as a nickname, like [name]John[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] or [name]Mary[/name] and [name]Molly[/name]. I don’t think [name]Harry[/name] is any easier to say than [name]Henry[/name], either.
I’m not sure about the repeating -er endings of [name]Oliver[/name] and [name]Cooper[/name], especially if you rejected [name]Alexander[/name] on those grounds.
I love [name]Benjamin[/name]! I can’t remember if [name]Theodore[/name] has been suggested, too. So many nickname possibilities with that one - [name]Theo[/name], [name]Ted[/name], [name]Teddy[/name].
My votes for combinations go to :
G/G/G - [name]Josiah[/name], [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Elinor[/name]. I love that they all have different endings, but the nicknames are posing a problem, as [name]Nora[/name] would be the only girl without a nickname ending in the -ee sound (out of four girls, which makes it seem obvious to me), and obviously you couldn’t use [name]Linny[/name] if you also had a [name]Caroline[/name] “[name]Linny[/name]”. [name]How[/name] do you feel about [name]Tilda[/name]? [name]Jed[/name], [name]Abby[/name], [name]Linny[/name], [name]Tilda[/name] and [name]Nora[/name].
G/G/B - [name]Josiah[/name], [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Matilda[/name] and [name]Benjamin[/name]. Perfection!
B/B/G - [name]Josiah[/name], [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Zachary[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name]. [name]Josiah[/name], [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Zachary[/name] and [name]Caroline[/name]. The second feels slightly more perfect to me, but both are great!
B/B/B - I’m stuck. I don’t want to do [name]Zachary[/name] and [name]Henry[/name] because they both end in Y, and I don’t want to do [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Harrison[/name] because they both end in N, and then I’m not sure about [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Cooper[/name]. I think I might be too fussy … For now, I’ll say [name]Josiah[/name], [name]Abigail[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Zachary[/name] and [name]Oliver[/name].
Good luck! [name]Auburn[/name]
