[name]Nancy[/name], nn [name]Annie[/name] ;
[name]Nancy[/name], by far - it is a real name with real history, and I think it could be ready for revival as other vintage names are. I find it sweet and quirky.
[name]Auburn[/name]
Lol, [name]Nancy[/name], easy. I’ve always liked [name]Nancy[/name].
I know a 6 year old girl named [name]Nancy[/name] - it does not seem weird at all and suits her perfectly. Much better than Navaeh
I like [name]Nancy[/name]! I think it would be really fun to see a little one named [name]Nancy[/name].
Definitely [name]Nancy[/name]! My dear, late grandmother went by [name]Nancy[/name], but her given name was [name]Anastasia[/name].
[name]Nancy[/name].
nn [name]Annie[/name] or Cece?
Of these two names, I like [name]Nancy[/name] best, but neither are favorites of mine.
Good [name]Luck[/name]!
Also, I am not sure what you mean by lesser of two evils… could you explain that a little for me?
I am under the impression you should [name]LOVE[/name] the name you pick for your baby!
A friend of a friend has a little girl named [name]Nancy[/name]…
(-:
As I mentioned these polls I’ve been doing are completely hypothetical (not for a real baby), asking what you’d pick between the two mentioned (last week it was [name]Adolf[/name] vs. [name]Ashley[/name] for a boy; this week it’s [name]Nancy[/name] vs. [name]Nevaeh[/name] for a girl).
[name]Nancy[/name], no question. Anything but [name]Nevaeh[/name]. At least [name]Nancy[/name] is a real (if nicknamey) name! [name]Nevaeh[/name] has absolutely nothing going for it.
[name]Nancy[/name]! [name]Even[/name] though it is dated, I think it’s kind of refreshing in a sea of tryndee names. I’d probably call her [name]Annie[/name] or [name]Anna[/name], though.
On the bright side, [name]Nevaeh[/name] could be nicknamed [name]Neve[/name], [name]Eva[/name], [name]Eve[/name], or [name]Evie[/name]… not that I’m endorsing [name]Nevaeh[/name]'s use! By the way, is it neh-VAY, neh-VEE-ah, or neh-VAY-ah? Sorry, I can never pronounce it right!
Definitely [name]Nancy[/name]! It’s so lovely and sweet. I knew a [name]Nancy[/name] who was confident, popular and creative, it really sold the name to me!
[name]Nevaeh[/name] bothers me because it doesn’t have a meaning, just ‘heaven’ backwards. Also, how the heck is it pronounced?
I think both are acceptable but I prefer [name]Nancy[/name]. Simply because it’s classic, cute and gorgeous and unfortuantly looked down upon because it’s “dated.” [name]May[/name] I ask you. [name]How[/name] do people know it’s dated? What book or website says an exiration date for everyname? “Dated” is a term that does not exist. Names are names and can and should be used as people please. [name]Just[/name] because it’s not in the top 100 doesn’t give people an excuse to say no and call it dated. Everyone doesn’t need to name their baby [name]Madison[/name], [name]Emma[/name] or [name]Isabella[/name].
I chose [name]Nancy[/name] after a momentary hesitation. I think [name]Nevaeh[/name] is probably a cuter and sleeker name, but I’m not religious. If there was some option to spell [name]Nevaeh[/name] any way I wanted, I would probably pick it. I don’t love the name [name]Nancy[/name] as well as I could live with a Nevea aside from the reference to [name]Heaven[/name] in the spelling of it usually. I imagine most of its appeal is how it sounds, second, whether it means something to someone or not. If I picked any other name, I would start with how it sounds, and secondarily consider if it means something to me. If it references religion too heavily, that is a deal-breaker to me, not because it’s a ridiculous trend or whatever. That’s why I chose [name]Nancy[/name] though. It’s a tough decision, but I would choose [name]Nevaeh[/name] if it was just some other name in a trend, and avoid its reference when spelled reverse of [name]Heaven[/name].
To get an answer for this, I had to imagine (a) a baby girl, (b) a birth certificate info form in front of me, (3) a pen in my hand, (4) a gun at my head, and (5) orders to start writing one of the names at the count of ten. In that situation, I would write the name [name]Nancy[/name]. So, there you have it. Another vote for [name]Nancy[/name]! (Nothing wrong with [name]Nancy[/name], it’s just never been a favorite.)

A name is not dated just because it’s not in the top 100. Dated is a term that exists, just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
Anyway, I picked [name]Nancy[/name] even though I had a seriously evil aunt named [name]Nancy[/name] [name]Chris[/name]… she went by [name]Chris[/name], so maybe if she went by [name]Nancy[/name] I would have had to pick [name]Nevaeh[/name]… [name]Nancy[/name] reminds me of [name]Nancy[/name] [name]Drew[/name], so that’s a plus…
The name [name]Nancy[/name] has seriously been ruined for me by some very shrill, annoying women. Also I don’t like how it sounds so I would pick [name]Nevaeh[/name] if I had to.
