I was just re-reading the [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] series, and was wondering what do you all think a 5th or 6th child in the Pevensie family would have been named? Or if you could, would you have renamed named any of the characters? I feel like all their names fit, just curious.
The mother’s name is [name_f]Helen[/name_f], and the I do not believe that the father’s name is ever officially mentioned. Correct me if I am wrong in any of this. And of four siblings are named: [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_f]Susan[/name_f], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].
I love the [name_f]Narnia[/name_f] series! I also love a lot of the characters’ names (special mentions: [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [[name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] - The Last Battle] and [name_f]Aravis[/name_f] [The Horse and His Boy]).
I too like the children’s names - particularly [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. If I were to name a fifth or sixth, I would go for [name_m]George[/name_m] or [name_m]David[/name_m]; or perhaps [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
Since they were originally going to be [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_m]Martin[/name_m], & [name_f]Rose[/name_f] I’d probably go with one of those. Except for [name_m]Martin[/name_m], I don’t care for that name at all. [name_f]Susan[/name_f] & [name_f]Ann[/name_f] might be too matchy? (both having ‘an’)
So…
[name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_f]Susan[/name_f], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], & [name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_f]Susan[/name_f], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], & [name_m]Jack[/name_m] (a nod to [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] himself)
I love this, as well! The girls are often called [name_f]Su[/name_f] and [name_f]Lu[/name_f] in the series, so I feel like it would’ve been another u__ name. My first thought was [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]. :P. Maybe [name_m]George[/name_m], too? [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_f]Susan[/name_f], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], [name_m]George[/name_m], and [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]? I think they need more personality than that, though, so maybe [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f], or [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] and [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], or [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], or some combination of those. They seem like such realistic choices for the period, so I wish I knew what was popular when they would’ve been born!
[name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_f]Susan[/name_f], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], and [name_m]Richard[/name_m].
or
[name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_f]Susan[/name_f], [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], and [name_f]Nancy[/name_f].
Oh wow, last post was quite a long time ago. But wow, I loved the books as a child! Still do. I remember watching the movies as a child, too. They were probably one of my favorite things to watch.
I feel like the 5th or 6th child would’ve been named James & Clara, or Victor & Eveline, branching off as Eve (would’ve been a sweet sentiment for the book). All were somewhat popular names in the 1900s.
