I like Meritt with your sibset as it has more of the unisex feel of [name_u]Harper[/name_u].
[name_u]Merritt[/name_u]! A perfect balance of buttoned up & playful. [name_u]Love[/name_u]
Popping back into mention Merredin and Merida. Feel free to ignore this, but just wanted to suggest as options in case you are looking for ways to combine the sounds of Merritt and Audra! I really do love Merritt, though.
I voted for [name_f]Audra[/name_f] and agree that [name_f]Audra[/name_f] and has a classy vibe. I love it. It is a bit unique but definitely recognizable and feels fresher than [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
Never heard these sweet names before. Definitely worth considering!
Never heard these sweet names before. Definitely worth considering!
I really like [name_u]Merritt[/name_u] with your set, even though I personally prefer [name_f]Audra[/name_f]. Also seconding @dream.create’s suggestions, especially [name_f]Merida[/name_f] - love it!
While I love [name_u]Merritt[/name_u], I think [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_m]Mills[/name_m] is easier to say than [name_u]Merritt[/name_u] [name_m]Mills[/name_m]
[name_u]Merritt[/name_u] [name_m]Mills[/name_m]! [name_u]Merritt[/name_u] has been one of my favorites for years, and I love how it can be used for both sexes and suits many personalities. I also think it goes well with your other children’s names, and I like the alliteration!
Good luck and congrats!
[name_u]Merritt[/name_u]!!! What a gorgeous, unusual choice! I love it
I like both choices and love that you are using [name_m]Mills[/name_m] as a tribute to [name_f]Mildred[/name_f]. I voted for [name_u]Merritt[/name_u] as I think it goes well with your sibset.
Thank you! I have always wanted to pay tribute to her and [name_m]Mills[/name_m] is the best my husband and I agree on.
[name_f]Audra[/name_f] is one of my current favorites! it has a nice, fiesty meaning as well as a pretty sound. I might be biased against [name_u]Merritt[/name_u], though, having grown up next to the [name_u]Merritt[/name_u] Parkway.
Thanks everyone! I am so torn. Naming is hard ”
If you vote [name_f]Audra[/name_f] feel free to tell why. [name_f]May[/name_f] need some convincing for my husband still.
I adore the name Graham! I voted for Audra. It has a lovely sound, it’s familar but not popular…I’ve only ever met one person with the name. Audra Mills sounds very classy to me. I can easily see it aging well.
I like Merritt but it just doesn’t feel as substantial to me for some reason.
Edited to add:
I could see people calling Audra maybe Audrey either as a nickname or by accident so maybe taking that into consideration for each name may help? I can definitely see people having spelling and pronunciation issues with Merritt-just because it isn’t a common name. I can totally see someone named Merritt being nicknamed Merry-which I kind of like:)
Although I would typically prefer [name_f]Audra[/name_f] to [name_u]Merritt[/name_u], I actually greatly prefer (and voted for) [name_u]Merritt[/name_u] for you. I think [name_u]Merritt[/name_u] fits perfectly with [name_m]Shepard[/name_m] & [name_u]Harper[/name_u], and also, I really like the alliteration of [name_u]Merritt[/name_u] [name_m]Mills[/name_m].
[name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_m]Mills[/name_m] does look and sound so great too though… hmmm, yeah, good luck - they’re really both nice options.
