Hello Berries! Thanks so much for all your help with the original list in my previous thread. Now, I’ve gone over the whole list with my super picky husband and here’s what we’re left with:
Though all made the cut, his favorites are in bold.
Any combos (you can use from either list), opinions or suggestions that fit our “style” (I don’t see one, honestly…) are welcome and appreciated! Thank you!
Seeing [name]Dahlia[/name] is on ur list as well (assuming ur favs haven’t changed since u made ur signature) I’d go with [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Holiday[/name]. I love the sound of [name]Dahlia[/name] Bloom but I think it might be a bit much. [name]Dahlia[/name] being a plant and all though it would be SUPER cute!
@millienow2011 I do still love [name]Dahlia[/name], my only hang-up is that I feel like I sound weird when I say it!
@vivtaliesin Yes! I had that on my list last year, as well as [name]Mila[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] Bloom. And I had [name]Melody[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name], instead of [name]Mila[/name]. =]
Yes, I think I remember seeing that combo [name]Mila[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] Bloom. What a stunner!
Have you seen the blog Bleubird Vintage? (http://bleubirdvintage.typepad.com/) They have daughters named [name]Mila[/name] [name]Plum[/name] and [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Bird[/name] (and also a son named [name]Julian[/name], though not sure on his middle). They also have another son on the way. Their naming style really reminds me of yours, so thought you may be interested in their blog!
@vivtaliesin Yes! Her and another blogger, who has a [name]Gemma[/name] and a [name]Maible[/name], (http://mrsmurr.com) made me fall in [name]LOVE[/name] with [name]Gemma[/name]. I also realized that it uses sounds from both mine and Hubs’ names! Jeff and Marissa. Maybe that’s silly/a stretch, but I like it. ;]
Oh, and [name]Penelope[/name] is out. Hubs hates it and with the dreaded Kardashian Klan using it… =[
I really like [name]Austen[/name] [name]Holiday[/name], but that might be too unisex for you. [name]Mabel[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name] has a neat rhythm if you don’t mind alliterations, she kind of sounds like a character in a book. Perhaps that’s your “naming style”…character names? My favorites on your list are [name]Mabel[/name], [name]Mila[/name], and [name]Gemma[/name], and MNs Bloom and [name]Holiday[/name]. I really love the “image” of [name]Magnolia[/name], but it can feel a little heavy/awkward at times.
Some potential combos with your husband’s favorites: [name]Aria[/name] Bloom, [name]Austen[/name] [name]Holiday[/name], [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Holiday[/name], [name]Helena[/name] Bloom. [name]Rosalie[/name] doesn’t really go with [name]Holiday[/name], and I don’t know if you’d want to combine it with another flower name.
@capturedcastle Oh, I love [name]Mabel[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name]! It makes me think of southern summers. I definitely don’t mind alliteration! And I do agree that [name]Magnolia[/name] can be kind of awkward. I think you really have to find the perfect name to pair it with. Before Hubs vetoed [name]Hadley[/name], I really liked [name]Hadley[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name]. Yay, I have a naming style! ;]
@rachelemma Thanks! You all are making it so difficult to choose now, with all these wonderful combos! Really like [name]Audrey[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name], too! Ahh!
I love the classic [name]Caroline[/name]. [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Austen[/name] would be my pick. Followed by [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Azalea[/name].
