Your names are so whimsical! I really like [name]Elowen[/name] (this spelling, though you don’t have it on the list, or Elowyn if you really want the y), and [name]Twyla[/name]. I’m afraid a person would get tired of [name]Winter[/name] as a first name during the spring/summer seasons, so I would tuck it in the middle, personally. [name]Twyla[/name] [name]Winter[/name] is really pretty. As for Elowyn, I think having the O in there makes it sound more musical. [name]Bronwyn[/name] is not my style, and sounds a bit masculine to me.
Yes, welcome to Nameberry! Your choices are very musical. My favorite is Elowyn [name]Story[/name]–beautiful. I also like [name]Twyla[/name] [name]Winter[/name]; I think [name]Twyla[/name]/[name]Twila[/name] is ready to be revived.
Forgive me if you already know this, but [name]Elwyn[/name] is not a variation of Elowyn or vice versa; [name]Elwyn[/name] is an Old English male name meaning “noble friend” or “elf-friend.” In spite of its melodic sound, given its history as a boy’s name I wouldn’t use it for a daughter. It was the name of E.B. White ([name]Elwyn[/name] [name]Brooks[/name] White), the author of “[name]Stuart[/name] [name]Little[/name]” and “[name]Charlotte[/name]'s [name]Web[/name].”
Best wishes!
I definitely prefer Elowyn over [name]Elwyn[/name]. Elowyn [name]Story[/name] is positively delicious!
I also prefer [name]Twyla[/name] [name]Winter[/name] over [name]Winter[/name] [name]Twyla[/name], because in the latter combo the Ts are only one syllable apart, making it something of a tongue twister in the -ter/Twy- part
I agree with PP in that [name]Bronwyn[/name] skews masculine for me. I have never understood the appeal.
Elowyn [name]Story[/name] and [name]Twyla[/name] [name]Winter[/name] make a FABULOUS sibset!
I love [name]Elowen[/name] with an “e” but that’s just me. Elowyn is very pretty and has great nickname options. (Lo, [name]Elle[/name], [name]Winnie[/name])
I prefer [name]Rhonwen[/name] over [name]Bronwyn[/name]/wen.
[name]Twyla[/name] and [name]Winter[/name] are great middle names! And I think [name]Winter[/name] is a beautiful first name. [name]Harper[/name] sounds too harsh to me. [name]Story[/name] is not my style.
All are great choices, but just so you know, traditionally, a Welsh name that ends in -wyn is traditionally male, while -wen is female.
[name]Rhonwyn[/name] = male, [name]Rhonwen[/name] = female
I really like [name]Elowen[/name] on a girl, as [name]Bronwen[/name]. I think you should use the traditional Welsh “e” for a girl. I think it’s just personal preference but I find [name]Twyla[/name] very hard and abrupt. It’s a not uncommon name where I come from and is usually pronounced with a distinct and not necessarily, nice, accent. Objectively, the sets are quite nice, though. My top pick would be [name]Elowen[/name] [name]Story[/name].
1 [name]Elowen[/name] [name]Story[/name] (this spelling looks much better. Elowyn [name]Story[/name] has one “y” too many)
2 [name]Twyla[/name] [name]Winter[/name]
I don’t mind [name]Bronwen[/name], However, I don’t advise two unisex names like [name]Bronwyn[/name]/[name]Bronwen[/name] and [name]Harper[/name] in one combo. I prefer [name]Winter[/name] as a mn and [name]Elwyn[/name] doesn’t appeal to me.
[name]Bronwen[/name] is my favorite name on your list but it is too similar to your last name. I would go for [name]Twyla[/name], but Elowyn would work as well and it’s cute. I like either [name]Twyla[/name] or Elowyn.
