From the list I posted the other day, I have done some thinking and realised that out of my long list the only ones I absolutely love and really keep coming back to are [name]Ava[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] & [name]Ivy[/name].
So now I would love your help to choose the best one out of these 4.
I want a name that isn’t too trendy, prefer timeless and classic but don’t mind if it’s too common. Am trying to avoid giving my daughter a name that she will end up having to pronounce and spell her whole life and mostly just one that I won’t get sick of cos I can be pretty indecisive!
I love [name]Ava[/name], I think it is the most timeless and classic of your options.
Descending order from there:
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name]
My favorite would have to be [name]Ava[/name]. I see her as classic and elegant but modern, like the actress [name]Ava[/name] [name]Gardner[/name].
However, I do see her as trendy, so my next favorite would have to be [name]Lydia[/name]. I love her ties to literature and history.
Well as the mother of an [name]Ivy[/name] it’s obviously my top-pick, then [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] and [name]Ava[/name]. [name]Ava[/name] is a very lovely name but it’s really popular in UK, which i know doesn’t bother you.
TBH you have a great list and i think you should keep all four and decide when your little lady arrives xx
Well, [name]Ava[/name] is beautiful and I would pick it, but if you don’t want trendy/super popular I think it’s getting there. There’s a few [name]Ava[/name]'s and one [name]Aida[/name] at my daycare.
However that might not bother you too much, so I would pick [name]Ava[/name] then [name]Lydia[/name].
Yes [name]Ava[/name] is waaaaaay to popular…It’s on the rise for sure…
[name]Ivy[/name] is out because it sounds like you are just copying the most famous beyonces baby (well depending on when you are due)
[name]Ruby[/name] is super cute but I don’t think it’s original anymore…imo…I love the name but it’s popular in the sense that people are using it again and I know a few kids out there named [name]Ruby[/name]…put it up there with [name]Eva[/name], [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Lucy[/name]…etc
[name]Lydia[/name] is classic traditional and not trendy at all. It’s a solid great name that is just all around great…I would pick a unique middle name to go with it…but I say [name]Lydia[/name] for sure
[name]Love[/name] [name]Ava[/name], but she is super popular… having said that, if you love her the most, choose her. Second would be [name]Lydia[/name]. [name]Lydia[/name] is soft, pretty, and classic. [name]Ruby[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] are adorable, but right now, I see them a little more in the trendy catagory, although I know they have timeless appeal…
[name]Ivy[/name] is my fave, followed by [name]Lydia[/name]. [name]Ava[/name] is epidemically popular and [name]Ruby[/name] just isn’t a fave of mine, it sounds harsh and a bit like a dogs name to me (no offence).
I absolutely adore both [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name], especially [name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name] is my top pick! [name]Ava[/name] is very popular, and I think [name]Ivy[/name] is on the rise. I don’t think I’d choose either of them. When I hear [name]Lydia[/name], though it’s classic and pretty, I always think of a bratty little girl. I’ve never met a nice [name]Lydia[/name] in real life, and [name]Lydia[/name] tends to be the brat in movies.
I love [name]Ava[/name] like te rest of the world but it’s over population recently may bother you. Beautiful name, but I think [name]Ruby[/name] fits your description best. I don’t like [name]Lydia[/name], and [name]Ivy[/name] reminds me of my cat’s name so I can’t think straight on it haha.
