I am trying to narrow down my boys list, and I don’t want to have two [name_m]Cas[/name_m]- names. However, I am finding it difficult deciding between these two.
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] - I love the gothic, romantic feel of this name. I think of a dashingly handsome, creatively artistic boy.
[name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] - This has more of a soft, country feel. I think of a gorgeous blond cowboy who likes to get his hands dirty, but is also a gentle soul.
It really depends on what kind of feel you want. [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] is certainly more stately and distinguished, but I prefer [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] because the cowboy feel is more my style. Plus I’d love to see [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] on a boy.
I completely agree.
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] sounds great in both combinations.
I’m not a fan of [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], I would have thought it was a girl’s name, to be honest!
[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]! I’m not opposed to unisex names on boys (and [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] is pretty cool!), but I just love the ties to [name_m]Caspian[/name_m], and I lovelovelove [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] and [name_m]Alaric[/name_m]. Together, they’re just amazing. [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] leaves a bit to be desired for me, in comparison to [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m].
I would choose [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], but I think [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] or [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] would be much more charming. [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] will always be a girls name to me because I used it for my grandmothers female cat.
So, 7 - 3 to [name_m]Caspian[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m], which I kind of expected as not many people like [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u] on a boy. I still love the combo, but I think for my shortlist I’ll keep [name_m]Caspian[/name_m]. Thanks guys! x
