Narrowing it down....help me pick a girls name!

We have narrowed down our list to a few names, but I am not 100% sold on any of them.
[name]Paige[/name]
[name]Blair[/name] (love [name]Blair[/name], but last name starts with M. Not sure if I can get over this.)
[name]Brynn[/name] (see [name]Blair[/name])
[name]Elise[/name] (lisa is a family name…this might work as a mn?)

Let me know what you think, or feel free to offer any other suggestions! I don’t want a name that ends in an -ee sound, as it sounds odd with the last name. Thanks:)

[name]Love[/name] the name [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Elise[/name]! Or [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Paige[/name] sounds really cute together too. I would not worry about the BM because the middle name breaks it up. Good luck!

My name is [name]Brandi[/name] and my last name starts with an M - it has never once, not once, been an issue (I’m in my 30s). I didn’t even realize it myself until I was grown. BM is, in my opinion, a somewhat outdated term - and I rarely ever hear it used at all; no one else has ever noticed my initials. [name]Just[/name] trying to alleviate some of your worries!

Thanks:) I do love [name]Blair[/name], i think I am definitely leaning toward it but my husband prefers [name]Paige[/name], but I think it is more popular and therefore I am less attracted to it! I don’t think we would use [name]Elise[/name] as a first name, although I do think it is lovely I prefer it more as a middle name. Any other suggestions?

I like [name]Blair[/name] [name]Elise[/name]! And don’t worry about the BM thing.

I like [name]Paige[/name] and would like to pair with a name with an ‘l’ in it that is very feminine.
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Adeline[/name], ([name]Adelyn[/name])
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Alicia[/name]
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Valentine[/name]
[name]Laura[/name] [name]Paige[/name]
[name]Chelsea[/name] [name]Paige[/name]
[name]Brynn[/name]-[name]Elise[/name] [name]Paige[/name]

[name]Ellen[/name] [name]Paige[/name] is nice too.

I love [name]Brynn[/name] … so that gets my vote!
I would not have thought of the BM thing, so I wouldn’t worry about it.
And I do like [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Elise[/name] … this might sound crazy, but when the middle name starts with a vowel, I like the first name to end in a vowel so you have to pause in between to say the name. Sometimes I think they run together … like Brynnelise. Since [name]Lisa[/name] is a family name, you could totally go [name]Lisa[/name] [name]Brynn[/name] and then call her [name]Brynn[/name] (or [name]Elise[/name] [name]Brynn[/name] for that matter), and then the initials wouldn’t be BM if it still bothers you. Obviously, this would work for [name]Blair[/name], [name]Paige[/name] etc. too as the middle name.
Good luck!

[name]Elise[/name] gets my vote. It’s pretty without being frilly. It has a classic edge to it and I like the family significance.

[name]Blair[/name] would be my second choice as it is a little unexpected. [name]Blair[/name] [name]Elise[/name] would be nice.

[name]Brynn[/name], I feel, is going to become trendy fast (on a girl a least, which I know it is now in the US). [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Elise[/name] runs together and sounds like [name]Brynna[/name] [name]Lise[/name].

[name]Paige[/name] is nice and solid, but lacks the same oomph as [name]Elise[/name] or [name]Blair[/name]. [name]Paige[/name] [name]Elise[/name] works as a combo though.

Suggestions:

[name]Calla[/name]
[name]Adele[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Lila[/name] (this could work for [name]Lisa[/name])
[name]Carys[/name]
[name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Lea[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]

I love [name]Blair[/name] [name]Elise[/name]!

Oh i love [name]Calla[/name] also!
[name]Calla[/name] [name]Elise[/name]
[name]Blair[/name] [name]Elise[/name] (probably my fave)
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Elise[/name] (probably husband’s fave)
Elise________? I think I would shy away from this only because “lis” (lees) is a nickname for both lisa and elise, and i feel that may get confusing. i do love it though…

I really like all of those. I agree with [name]Brynn[/name] maybe getting trendy…I already know a girl in my niece’s class named [name]Bryn[/name] and a coworker has a niece or some other relative who is [name]Brinn[/name]. It is a very pretty name though!
thanks for all the suggestions:)

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Blair[/name] [name]Elise[/name] and [name]Brynn[/name] [name]Elise[/name]! [name]Brynn[/name] is almost unheard of in my area, so it’s hard for me to picture it becoming trendy. [name]Paige[/name] [name]Elise[/name] is pretty, as well. You have some lovely choices, good luck!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Elise[/name] and [name]Elea[/name]'s suggestion of [name]Carys[/name] the most!
Also love [name]Brynn[/name] and [name]Paige[/name].

how is [name]Carys[/name] supposed to be pronounced? i have never seen this name until I saw it on this site!

I think CARE-iss is the way it’s pronounced. It has really grown on me!

I like [name]Carys[/name] also-very pretty!!! i do wonder if it would be misprounced since it is fairly uncommon here…

although i dont know how else you would pronounce it, if i had to guess i would guess CARE ess…but i suppose it could also be “carries” “caRISS” or “caress” (which is a stretch but possible!)

Either way, I think its great but doubt my husband will go for it…I think we will be in a battle with me wanting [name]Blair[/name] and him wanting [name]Paige[/name]!

[name]Elise[/name] and [name]Carys[/name] are both pretty.
I don’t like [name]Paige[/name] or [name]Blair[/name] (reminds me of [name]Tony[/name] [name]Blair[/name] and The [name]Blair[/name] Witch Project).
[name]Bryn[/name] is a Welsh boy’s name here in the UK so I wouldn’t use it for a girl personally.

[name]Carys[/name] and [name]Cerys[/name] are both Welsh and mean ‘love’

[name]Carys[/name] = CAH-riss (like [name]Harris[/name])
[name]Cerys[/name] = CEH-riss (like [name]Merris[/name])

You can here a sound bite for both here:

[name]Hi[/name] there! I personally prefer [name]Blair[/name] over [name]Brynn[/name], and my overall pick from your list would be [name]Elise[/name].

Some more you may like:

[name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Bronwen[/name]/[name]Bronwyn[/name]
[name]Eve[/name]
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name] (jem-ma)
[name]Greer[/name]
[name]Hollis[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Maeve[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Rose[/name]
[name]Tess[/name]
[name]Willa[/name]
[name]Wynn[/name]

Good luck!

[name]Calla[/name] [name]Elise[/name] - both are beautiful, although perhaps there are too many ‘l’ sounds together … I love this one, though.
[name]Blair[/name] [name]Elise[/name] - sounds a lot like Fur [name]Elise[/name] (the music) … I didn’t even think of the BM connection, though, and the mn will break it up.
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Elise[/name] - run together a little, but very pretty.
[name]Elise[/name] - [name]Elise[/name] is gorgeous, and [name]Elise[/name] [name]Paige[/name] and [name]Elise[/name] [name]Blair[/name] are both good together.
[name]Carys[/name] - beautiful, but open to miss-pronunciation.

Good luck!

[name]Elise[/name] is a GORGEOUS name. I think you should use it as a first name. [name]Elise[/name] [name]Paige[/name] would be beautiful!
