So, it’s early on and we don’t know the sex yet, but we’ve got our name for each narrowed down to two options, and I’m just curious what others think. The middle name for either comes from my grandfather, [name_u]Roy[/name_u] (his first name) or [name_m]Alan[/name_m] (his middle name) for a boy, [name_u]Rae[/name_u] for a girl.
My husband likes the name [name_m]Jack[/name_m] as a nickname, but we didn’t want to go with the traditional names that accompany it so, the boy names are:
[name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_u]Roy[/name_u]
[name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m]
My husband vetoed a ton of girl names, but there are two we agree on. Maybe someone can suggest something we haven’t thought of that goes with the middle name [name_u]Rae[/name_u]… We had NO idea that these names had become so popular recently, and I’m trying to decide whether or not I care. Girl names:
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]
Our three-year-old is [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]. What do you think? Thanks, everyone!
[name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] would be very handsome in my opinion! For girls I would prefer [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u], I think it goes better with [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] for some reason. I would not care about popularity if you really love it btw! Other names that might fit with big sister [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] that give me a similar feel asl [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]:
I think [name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_u]Roy[/name_u] and [name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] both flow well but I prefer [name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_u]Roy[/name_u] slightly more. I agree with pp, [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] is stunning and I think goes great with [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]!
[name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] does sound better than than [name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_u]Roy[/name_u], but really, how often do you say the first and middle together? I would go with whichever one is more meaningful to you.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] are both very popular now but if that doesn’t matter to you then [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is the better fit in my mind. If it is too popular I think you have some great suggestions above.
[name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] sounds better to me than [name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_u]Roy[/name_u]! Unexpected and lovely choice for nn [name_m]Jack[/name_m].
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] is stunning!
I prefer [name_m]Jacoby[/name_m] [name_m]Alan[/name_m] for a boy.
For a girl, I’m going to go against the grain and say [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]! I think it’s because I’m a bit bored of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] since it’s been popular in my family’s circle since I was little. I think I only know one [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] (but, to be fair, I’m 20 and don’t spend a lot of time around kids) plus I think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] has the same feel as [name_f]Tallulah[/name_f]. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is still a fine name though.
