Hey everyone! So I’m not planning on using this name (or naming anyone anytime soon haha) but I wanted to get your opinion on if Nashville is a usable name. I know that it’s unique and probably not super usable but it’s slowly becoming a guilty pleasure of mine!
I know a girl name [name_u]Memphis[/name_u] if that means anything to you!
I mean maybe. People use the name [name_m]Nash[/name_m] for babies so Nashville seems like it could be a long form. Or you could use it as a middle if you don’t feel brave enough to use it as a first.
I wouldn’t personally use it, but there are so many geographical names out there, I don’t see why you couldn’t name a child Nashville
For me it’s inexorably tied to country music. I don’t think it’s very versatile.
I think Nashville is a little much. Some place/city names work, but I don’t think this would. I would go with [name_m]Nash[/name_m].
Nashville is kind of cool
Sound wise, I don’t feel like the “ville” part of it necessarily adds a nice sound, but it’s not like it’s horrible.
City wise, it feels like the kind of name that comes with a particular image. So just like I wouldn’t suggest using a name like [name_u]Hendrix[/name_u] unless you’re a [name_m]Jimi[/name_m] fan, I wouldn’t suggest using Nashville unless you’re a fan of the city and make sure you’re okay with people asking if you’re a fan of the city because youre in for a lifetime of it!
I think Nashville would be a cool name! Plus, your nickname can be Nashvegas!
I prefer Nashville to [name_u]Memphis[/name_u] as a name because [name_u]Memphis[/name_u] reminds me of emphysema.
I don’t care much for Nashville, but I love [name_m]Nash[/name_m] for a boy.
I prefer just [name_m]Nash[/name_m] (and love that) but think definitely think Nashville is usable!
I love [name_m]Nash[/name_m] and do know a boy named Nashville, but it seems awkward. I think it may be difficult to wear for a lot of boys.
If names like [name_u]London[/name_u] are usable, than Nashville certainly is! I really like [name_m]Roswell[/name_m], as a name, so maybe I’m biased lol
Sure, why not. As others have mentioned, it falls in line with the likes of [name_u]London[/name_u], [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u], [name_f]India[/name_f], [name_u]Sydney[/name_u], and [name_u]Paris[/name_u].
