Is [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] too dated to the 1970s and 1980s?
I think of [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] from [name_f]Anna[/name_f] Karenina ([name_f]Dolly[/name_f] and [name_f]Kitty[/name_f]'s sister), so I don’t find it dated to the 1970s/80s at all. She was a minor character though, you’d have to have read the book to know the reference. It’s a nice name but not all that stunning for me.
How about Nephele? But I have always liked the sound of Natalie. It peaked in 2008 and is still #17 (in the US) so it is more “2008” than 70s or 80s. It appears to be on the declining side of a long trend…I bet that it will come back in the future for a resurgance and likely stick around as a classic.
Not at all! Granted, I think of my little sister (who was born in 95), who is really the only [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] I’ve known consistently–I’ve come across little ones named [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] in the playground, or full-grown ones, but my sister is the only [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] I would say that I “know”–but I find it interesting you think it would be dated to the 70s or 80s. If anything, it seems to have spiked in the 00s, so if it’ll be dated at all (which I absolutely don’t think it will be–I find [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] to be a bit of a modern [name_m]French[/name_m] classic), it’ll be dated to the late 90s, throughout the 2000s. I think it’s very in-style. And the nn [name_u]Tally[/name_u]'s to die for.
I love [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] and I don’t find it the least bit dated.
Nope! I think [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] is a beautiful name
